1. Introduction Jazz is IBM’s initiative for improving collaboration and lifecycle tool integration. In order to

evaluate and explore some IBM’s product, a sandbox is provided free of charge for any user, including the following software:

Rational Team Concert (Change and Configuration Management)

Rational Quality Manager (Quality Management)

Rational Requirements Composer (Requirements Management) This document explains how a project for Rational Team Concert can be created in the Jazz

sandbox, which uses the Scrum template. To support team collaboration across multiple platforms and technologies, Rational Team

Concert provides users with an Eclipse-based client interface, a Microsoft Visual Studio client interface, and a web interface. This document includes the Eclipse and web interfaces only, for more information on how to install the Microsoft Visual Studio client interface visit https://jazz.net/projects/rational-team-concert/features/vsclient.

Every member of the team shall create an account in Jazz.net (see section 2). Only the team lead needs to create a new project (see section 3) and provide access for the rest of the team (see section 4). The rest of the team can access the project just by logging in to Jazz.net (see section 5). To configure the Eclipse client see section 6.

5. Access the Project through web interface The Web client is better suited for casual or occasional users than a client IDE because it does

not require installing any special software on the client machine; all that's needed is a Web browser. Each Jazz Team Server has a main web page where the user can select a project area and log in. Once logged in, the user can interact with the Jazz Team Server and browse information in the Jazz repository, including reading about recent events, entering and updating work items, and downloading builds.

1. Once the project leader has added you to the project, follow steps 1-2 from section 3

2. Click on the name of your project.
