The Rathole Renagade

HIVE QUAKE!

Shortly after 8:05 pm Monday night,

Ratholes residents were shaken by amassive tremor. Buildings collapsed asa large section of the settlementtumbled down into the bowels of thedeep six. Rescue crews wereassembled from those folk that werenot trapped in the rubble themselves.

The devastation was mostly centeredon the south end of town where acounter lever shelf had developed overthe edge of the crevasse with cranes tohaul up the larger pieces of salvagefrom the pit below.

Death tolls are as yet unknown butare though to be it the high hundreds.Hours later the fires had begun tosubside and the devastation could beassessed. Many Rathole residents wereleft homeless and must now begin torebuild what meagre hovels they hadstarted with. It will be some timebefore things return to normal inRathole, most residents that did not

have their homes and businessesdestroyed are still without runningwater or power, gufood is becomingscarce and fear of disease is rising.Ever aloof, the guilders of the areadeclined to comment on the events orthe chance for guild sponsored aid. Offthe record an anonymous guild contactcommented Ratholers are strong.theyll cling on until they can clawtheyre way back up!Campaign Event: Each gang mustrandomly chose 2 of its territories,these are erased from their rosterand replaced by 2 new randomlygenerated territories. This is torepresent a gangs territory beingdestroyed and abandoned and thegangs using the opportunity tograb territory left vacant oruncontrolled in the quakesaftermath.

Gangs Fight Amongst theDevastation!

Several disputes were in progresswhen the crevasse began to collapse inplaces. Gangers from the aptly namedQuakers Goliath gang were trapped invents as they came crashing violentlyto the hive floor. Their opponents, theEadbangers, were unlucky enough tobe beneath those vents when they fell.Unknown to them at the time of the

fight, they were beneath a giganticresting swarm of hive bats which,startled by the crumbling ceiling, beganto swarm towards the nearest exit.Unfortunately for the Eadbangersheavy Goreshot, he happened to beboth in the path of the swarm andpathologically fearful of bats. Thiscaused him to react by leaping from a

high emplacement, skewering himselfon a safety rail two levels below. Bothgangs quickly pulled what remained oftheir comrades from the rubble andbuggered off.

At the same time in another areaabove the epicentre of the quake, theFritzkreig were about to face off withthe Marvels. Suddenly the gantries andtowers began to shake, causing thedome lights to go out completely!Shouts rang out in the darkness as thepensive gangs inched towards eachother in the total darkness. The area litup as gunfire erupted, the gangsopened up at point blank rangeshattering the silence of the quakesaftermath. Seeing the futility of the

fight, the Fitzkrieg made their escapeunder the cover provided by thedarkness.

Seizing the opportunity of the chaoscreated by the quake, the Quakersdecided to ambush the newcomer VanSaar gang The Guilty Gears, in anattempt to grab some of their ripeterritory. The Van Saars proved to betougher and scrappier than anticipated.

The Quakers decided to cut their losesafter an abysmal fusillade which cased

virtually no damage. The Guilty gearsmade good use of their newly hired pitfighter to rip into the goliaths at closequarters. Later investigation showedthat the Goliaths had neglected torepair and maintain their weapons afterbeing through the earlier collapse, thislead to wild inaccuracy and jamming.

Also seizing on the chaos, theEadbangers, fresh from burying theirheavy and in a foul mood, decided tocorner the adolescents of The Fritzkreigas they were assessing the sale-ability

of some unidentified goop contained insome newly discovered vats. The noiseof the opening gunfire of theengagement ruptured said vats, sinkingthe entire Van Saar patrol with fewexceptions. The goop covered Youthspulled themselves to their feet just intime for Attila the Scum of theEadbangers to land a ball of searinghot plasma into one of their heads,causing it to burst into a shower ofblood, brains and vat goop. Thisshocking demise convinced The

Fritzkreig to forget about the remainingvats and retreat. Later it turned outthat the vats merely contained corpseprotein recycling slurry of little value.
