Socio – Economic Pattern
• Using the transect walk and social mapping exercise with the help of the villagers, our group was able to get some important information about the Village.
• The habitation pattern clearly indicates that different social groups and communities stay together with no clear separate colonies.
• The village has CC Roads in all the major areas. The villagers are very well aware about the Cleanliness of their home and surroundings.
• The village has large agriculture land but the major part of the agriculture land is owned by people from nearby villages like Sherguda, Koheda and Mangalpally.
• There are 182 BPL card holders.

• Most of the villagers, specially from SC community, are daily wage agriculture
laborers or MGNREGA workers.
• Most of the laborers are unskilled and uneducated and hence do not possess essential skills to work in other progressive fields.

• Village has been receiving uninterrupted 24 hours Power supply since January, 2018 with almost no power cuts. All the streets in the residential part of the village are well lit with LED/CFL lights.
• Aanganwadi plays an important role in basic education and health sector in the village. In absence of Primary Health Centre, Aasha worker and other aanganwadi workers are very important in the delivering benefits of health schemes to the villagers.

Current Problems(1/4) Irregular payments under MNREGA scheme :
i. Most of the labourers have not received their payments from 10-12 weeks. ii. Moreover, they are not sure about their daily wages.
Recommendations/steps: At least field assistant should do his duty diligently. It is his duty to timely provide and
upload the details of daily work.

Current Problems(2/4) Employment for educated/skilled class and Poverty : In the absence of industries and
other job opportunities, many educated persons were found working in MNREGA scheme.
Recommendations/Steps :
i.The youth should be encouraged to participate in Govt programs such as “Job Melas”.

Current Problems(3/4) Dumping ground problem :
i. No designated place.
ii. Litter/garbage is thrown in fields adjacent to the village.
iii. Health risks, especially, to the nearby houses.
Current situation:
A designated place , 2 Km away, has been assigned to the village for dumping facilities. But, local people from other area are not happy with it and its not functional.

Wastage of water :
People were found wasting water for their household purposes.
People should be made aware against the wastage of water.
Last year, village administration ran a campaign against wasting water. Similar, programs can be run.
Recommendations for Other Problems :
Primary Health Centre should be constructed in the village for handling health issues/emergency cases.
Public Transport can be made better according to the needs of the villagers as it is hindrance to the people doing job in the city.
Bank Customer service point should be opened in the village.

CONCLUSION
The village is developed in terms of basic facilities, swachtha and security.
State schemes are being implemented well. More awareness about state schemes
compared to central schemes.
