WHO WE AREWe’re smart, fun and we get things done! We’re thoughtful and open, and represent various cultures, generations, experiences and passions.

We seek women who want to be a part of something greater than themselves. Women who are curious about how they can make a difference. Women who can get behind the simple idea that we can accomplish more together than we can alone.

WHAT’S YOUR GIFT? Do you love networking? Connecting people and ideas to create positive change?

Maybe you’re driven by a pioneering spirit — forging new and meaningful paths that inspire others to act.

Perhaps empathy and compassion are your calling cards. You’re quick to perceive others’ needs, and have an intrinsic desire to meet them.

All of these gifts are gifts of generosity. Of understanding there are causes greater than ourselves — and investing in them.

These are the gifts on which our program was built and that continue to guide our mission today.

HOW WE DO ITEach of us contributes a minimum of $500 annually (or splits the membership with a sister, daughter, friend, etc.). Together, we review funding opportunities, educating ourselves on the most pressing needs of St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the community it serves. Informed and empowered, we select to support the programs and initiatives that best align with our membership’s values and promise to create a meaningful impact. United by a shared passion, we take individual contributions and turn them into substantial gifts that provide real help to those in need.

HOW IT BEGANIt all started with a pioneering vision, a heart of compassion — and some serious people skills. In 1860, Henrietta Cleveland and Sarah Peter approached the bishop of a young, underfunded Diocese of Covington with a creative solution for establishing a much-needed hospital to serve Northern Kentucky’s growing population.

Together with the ladies of the first St. Elizabeth Support Guild, they raised more than $2,200 for the purchase and remodel of a former grocery store. Charitably staffed by the Sisters of the Poor of St. Francis, it became the first St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Inspired by their philanthropic innovation, we strive to continue the work of these women, carrying on a legacy of healing, hope and help to those in need.
