" I felt good and we had no issues with tire wear on the rear and it worked well. I was glad that the race stopped

because it meant I could change my front and I went with the hard and immediately felt better on the braking

points and could go quicker, this meant I could push more and was finally able to step on to the first position.

"I was able to manage the tires and I was really happy. The feeling was very good, especially on the front and I was able to brake very hard and I made a step with

that. There was a drop, but I was able to control things and manage the consistency until the end and it was

enough to win the race.

#GripMadeToLast

After the summer break, this will be a tough first race due to the very particular conditions at the Red Bull Ring. The three short straights in the first half of the lap mean the riders will maintain very high speeds, and these are followed by a series of fast corners running downhill to complete the lap.The construction of the rear tire casings in our allocation for these

two race weekends are designed to cope with this track layout, and to resist the heat and wear that will be

generated during the race. Added to this construction, the tread rubber compounds have been selected to offer consistent grip and predictable handling in the various sessions, from Qualifying and Free Practice, through to the 28-lap race.

ALLOCATION PER RIDER

New tires for 2021:

Sustainable materials account for between 33 and 40 percent

of the content of Michelin’s new MotoE™ tires

In terms of its FIM MotoE™ World Cup programme, the

proportion of sustainable materials used to make its rear

tires for the 2021 series has already reached 40 percent, while

the figure for its front MotoE™ tires stands at 33 percent.

A wide variety of bio-sourced and recycled materials are

employed for the production of Michelin’s MotoE™ tires,

including: orange and lemon peel, pine resin, sunflower

oil, hevea sap, worn truck and car tires, scrap steel.

The increase in the proportion of bio-sourced and recycled

materials that go into Michelin’s MotoE™ tires means that

4.6 tonnes of sustainable materials will be used in the

course of the 2021 series.

A single front rear

pairing

3 Exceptional versatility: just one combination of front and

rear tires to cover all the circuits visited by the 2021 series.

3 High performance: a revised materials-specification, yet

superior performance compared with 2020

3 Grip: grip performance from Turn 1, Lap 1
