Begin Works Cited Page

• Open new document in Word.

• Type Works Cited at top

• Save your works cited page to the M: drive at school

Go to article in database

• Citation is at the bottom of the article.

• Copy the MLA Citation– Hit CTRL C– Right Click mouse, Copy

Paste on Works Cited Page

• Paste the information to the page.– Hit CTRL-V– Right click mouse-

choose Merge Formatting

• Continue copying and pasting all the Works Cited articles.

Center Works Cited

• Highlight Works Cited

– Make sure you are on the Home tab

– Click on the Center icon

Alphabetize Works Cited Page

• Home tab• Paragraph ribbon• Sort Icon• Sort by: Paragraph/Text/Ascending

Create Hanging Indent• Highlight your entire works cited page excluding heading• Home tab• Click Paragraph ribbon box• Find Special under Indentation:• Choose Hanging from Drop down menu
