A new user without a Departmental account should first identify or contact an existing SRS company administrator in their company and ask to be registered and granted security roles. See Registering via a company administrator. An individual without an existing account If there is no SRS company administrator for a particular SRS subsystem the person should register themselves via the Department website. 1. From the Department website, click ‘Resources Safety’. Then expand ‘Online Systems’ and click ‘Safety Regulation System’. 2. On the ‘Safety Regulation System (SRS)’ page, click ‘Registering for SRS’. 3. Click ‘Register for mining, companies or individuals’. 4. Complete all required fields marked with asterisk (*). 5. Tick ‘Safety Regulation System (SRS)’ and ‘Public Access’ is automatically granted. If you would like to apply for company access and get security roles for SRS subsystems, tick ‘Company Access’, complete the relevant details and click ‘Continue’.

Quick help guide to registering a SRS account

An account is required to access the Department’s online systems including Safety Regulation System (SRS). A new user without a Departmental account should first identify or contact an existing SRS company administrator in their company and ask to be registered and granted security roles. See Registering via a company administrator.

An individual without an existing accountIf there is no SRS company administrator for a particular SRS subsystem the person should register themselves via the Department website.

1. From the Department website, click ‘Resources Safety’. Then expand ‘Online Systems’ and click ‘Safety Regulation System’.

2. On the ‘Safety Regulation System (SRS)’ page, click ‘Registering for SRS’.

3. Click ‘Register for mining, companies or individuals’.

4. Complete all required fields marked with asterisk (*).

5. Tick ‘Safety Regulation System (SRS)’ and ‘Public Access’ is automatically granted. If you would like to apply for company access and get security roles for SRS subsystems, tick ‘Company Access’, complete the relevant details and click ‘Continue’.

6. In the ‘SRS Subsystem Access’ dialog box, complete all fields and click ‘Request Access’. To request access to additional subsystems, repeat the steps and click ‘Done’.

7. Enter the CAPTCHA and click ‘Register’ to complete the registration.

Note: For exploration companies, an ‘Exploration Operation Notification’ is to be submitted prior to requesting access to SRS. See Notifying proposed exploration activities.

8. Once submitted, a message will be displayed on screen advising to confirm registration via the link provided within 14 days. Upon confirmation you will receive a second email containing your username and password. This will grant you ‘Public Access’ where you can view safety publications (i.e. significant incident reports, safety bulletins and etc.)

9. Where ‘Company Access’ is chosen, you will receive a third email advising your application for ‘Company Administrator’ access is being processed. A fourth and final email will confirm your security role as a Company Administrator for the requested subsystem.

An individual with an existing accountAn account is required to access the Department’s online systems including Safety Regulation System (SRS). Users with an existing Department account can log into their account to register for SRS access.

1. From the Department website, click ‘Resources Safety’. Expand ‘Online Systems’ navigate to ‘Safety Regulation System’ and click ‘Access’.

2. Enter your username and password. Click ‘Sign in’. If you have forgotten your username or password, see the SRS online help video on How to access and manage your SRS account.

Note: You will only see the subsystems where you have been granted security roles either as Company Endorser, Company Administrator or Company Representative.

3. Once logged in click ‘My Profile’ and select ‘My Personal Details’ from the drop-down list.

4. Expand the ‘Roles and Positions’ section and click ‘Update’.

5. You can update your account details or request for system access.

6. Enter all required details and select ‘Safety Regulation System’ in the lower section of the form. ‘Public Access’ is automatically granted.

If you would like to apply for Company Access, select ‘Company Access’, enter relevant details and click ‘Request’.

7. From the ‘SRS Subsystem Access’ dialog box, you can request access to one or more subsystems. Click ‘Request Access’ to add each selected subsystem and when finished, click ‘Done’. Note: Exploration access requires an Exploration Operation Notification to be submitted prior to requesting access to SRS. See Notifying proposed exploration activities.

8. You will be redirected to the online registration form. Click ‘Update’ to complete the update.

Follow the instructions provided in the confirmation emails. Once the application process is completed and approved you will receive an email confirming your security role as Company Administrator.
