One way we showed this was by flowers which were featured

in the video several times. Near the beginning of the video the

flower shown was alive and bright, however at the end there

was a dying flower to show a symbolic representation.

How does the ancillary tasks reinforce the message

of the main task?

One of our main themes throughout themusic video was death, we showed this in a

number of subtle ways throughout the

video including the showing of graves and

a graveyard.

This shows that

everything is gradually

dying around her.

We also suggested death in a

more obvious way when our

main character lies down as ifshe was dead herself in the

position that people go when

they are going to be buried.

Another mechanism we used to

show death was through the use of

the clock. We wanted to use this to

suggest that our main charactershusband had run out of time. Also

the clock was an object that they

had in their house together so may

hold memories.

I linked the theme of death into my digipak and poster by firstly

using an image of the main character lying as if she were a

corpse. This image has worked really well on both the front

cover of my digipak and as the main image on my poster aswith the blue sky this makes it have a slighter happier

appearance before you look more closely at the position of the

character and the deeper story line of the music video.

Another way I linked

death was by subtly

placing an image of a

grave stone behind

where the CD would

go in my digipak.

Another topic we were showingthrough our music video was how our

main character was gradually goingmad. At the beginning of our video it

showed her gently rocking and crying.As the song picks up we changed thelighting to a much darker setting toshow the audience the contrast and

gave quick cuts to each clip and madeher body go blurry when she moved to

show she is not alright.

I showed this on my digipak by having

the front cover a bright image of her,with the blue sky and alive flowers. I

contrasted this on the back of the

digipak by having the dark and eerie

image of her going mad. I emphasized

this by doubling the image up.

How Would the Three Tasks Work Together as a

Marketing Strategy?

My three tasks would work really well together as a marketing strategybecause they are all conveying the same message, this is most obviously

shown by having the same main image used throughout on my digipak,

poster and within my music video.

By having matching products this makes the audience recognize our

digipak if they were to see the poster within a magazine. And this could

work the other way round as well.
