As we enter this time of discernment in the Diocese of Corpus Christi, we seek your guidance and wisdom that we all may become one in the Body of Christ, a refuge where all are welcomed in Jesus’ name.

Pour forth your Holy Spirit into our hearts and minds that the joy of the gospel might transform us to be missionary disciples with your vision to see fresh possibilities in bringing the Good News to your people especially to those who have lost their way or have never known the beauty of your love and mercy.

By listening to your Spirit and to one another, grant us the insight to be bold and creative in developing a pastoral plan that will achieve the new evangelization.

Living as missionary disciples, may we always be a sign of faith, hope and charity. May we use your many gifts to serve the marginalized, sustain the poor, give hope to the sick, comfort the suffering, strengthen the family, hand on the faith to our young people, and build unity and communion in our parishes and diocese. In all we do may we bring you greater glory.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother, and the protection of St. Joseph, may we be of one mind and one spirit working together through our pastoral plan to build up you Kingdom.

Generations of Faith (Makeup Class) There will be a Generations of Faith Makeup Class on Saturday, January 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Church. This is for all families who’s child is in sacramental preparation that missed any of the prior sessions. It is a requirement to attend 2 Generations of Faith per year. Stewardship is Sharing Thank you to: Al Carmazzi, Mike Linan, Joe Ortega, Frank Recio,

Rey Zuñiga, and the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 10931 Who in the spirit of Stewardship are sharing their gifts of electrical knowledge by installing new LED spot lights on the altar. May their example of sharing inspire other Parishioners to share their gifts.

Adult Confirmation The Adult Confirmation Mass will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:30am at the Corpus Christi Cathedral. In addition to the sacramental catechesis provided by the parish, each candidate should attend a one-day retreat. The Adult Confirmation Retreat will held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration Form due February 2, 2018. • Candidates for Adult Confirmation: Candidates who are 18 years old (cannot be in High School) and older. Candidates cannot be in a cohabitating relationship or irregular marriage. Confirmation must be delayed until this situation is rectified. • Guidelines for Sponsors: The sponsor is to be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, at least sixteen years of age and have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Individuals who are in irregular marriages, in a cohabitating relationship, or not practicing Catholics cannot be sponsors. Parents cannot be sponsors. Please come by the Parish Office for Registration Form. For more information, please call Irene at 361-882-3245 ext. 13.

Oración por Our Pastoral Plan Buen y misericordioso padre, ¡Todo lo que tenemos proviene de ti y te damos alabanza!

Al entrar en este tiempo de discernimien-to en la Diócesis de Corpus Christi, buscamos su guía y sabiduría para que todos podamos ser uno en el Cuerpo de Cristo, un refugio donde todos sean bienvenidos en el nombre de Jesús.

Derrama tu Espíritu Santo en nuestros corazones y mentes para que el gozo del Evangelio nos transforme en discípulos misioneros con tu visión de ver nuevas posibilidades para llevar las Buenas Nuevas a tu gente, especialmente a aquellos que se extraviaron o que nunca supieron la belleza de tu amor y miseri-cordia

Al escuchar a tu Espíritu y a los demás, concédenos la capacidad de ser audaces y creativos para desarrollar un plan pastoral que logre la nueva evange-lización.

Viviendo como discípulos misioneros, que siempre seamos un signo de fe, es-peranza y caridad. Que usemos sus mu-chos dones para servir a los marginados, sostener a los pobres, dar esperanza a los enfermos, consolar al sufrimiento, fortalecer a la familia, transmitir la fe a nuestros jóvenes y construir la unidad y la comunión en nuestras parroquias y diócesis. En todo lo que hagamos, podemos traerte una mayor gloria.

Por la intercesión de la Santísima Virgen María, nuestra Madre, y la protección de San José, que podamos tener una mente y un espíritu que trabajen juntos a través de nuestro plan pastoral para edificar su Reino.

Generación de Fe (Clase de Maquillaje) Habrá una clase de maquillaje Generations of Faith el sabado 20 de enero de 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. en la iglesia. Esto es para todas las familias cuyo hijo está en preparación sacramental que se perdió alguna de las sesiones anteriores. Es un requisito asistir a 2 Generaciones de Fe por año. Confirmación para Adultos La Misa de Confirmación para Adultos se llevará a cabo el sábado 17 de Marzo de 2018 a las 10:30 a.m. en la Catedral de Corpus Christi. Además de la catequesis sacramental proporcionada por la parroquia, cada candidato debe asistir a un retiro de un día. El Retiro de Confirmación para Adultos tendrá lugar el sábado 10 de febrero de 2018 de 8:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. El formulario de inscripción se vence el 2 de febrero de 2018.

• Candidatos para la confirmación de adultos: Candidatos que tienen 18 años (no están en la escuela secundaria) y mayores de edad. Los candidatos no pueden estar en una relación de cohabitación o matrimonio irregular. La confirmación no se llevará a cabo hasta que esta situación Se rectifique.

• Pautas para patrocinadores: El patrocinador debe ser un católico practicante con la Iglesia, al menos dieciséis años y que haya recibido los sacramentos del Bautismo, la Eucaristía y la Confirmación. Los individuos que están en matrimonios irregulares, en una relación de cohabitación o no practican su fe católica no pueden ser patrocinadores. Los padres no pueden se patrocinadores.
