Youth Director– Ari Paskoff

Hi Everyone!

My name is Ari Paskoff and I am the youth director at Temple Rodef Shalom as well as the

Assistant Camp Director for Camp Rodef Shalom! I am so excited to begin the year with all

of you and am so pumped for the great events that are planned for you! I hope you all

had a great summer and are looking forward to getting involved in TRSTY through our

various activities throughout the year!

I spent this past summer as I mentioned working at Camp Rodef Shalom here and got to

see how active and lively the youth of the temple can be and hope it translates to the rest

of the year! I really enjoy sports, music, and all things TRSTY-related.

This year we are looking to expand our programs and events to reach the interests of

even more people, so even if you don’t think you have the time to come to everything,

hopefully there are at least one or two things that peak your interest that you will partici-

pate in!

I look forward to getting to know all of you throughout the year; feel free to shoot me an

coffee and tell me about some of the ideas you have! I hope you all have a great start to

Hello TRS Members! My name is Naomi Gaba and I am excited to serve as the TRSTY President this year. As a senior at McLean High School, I have leadership positions in various activities in-cluding marching band and the National Honors Society. I have served on TRSTY Board for three years and I am motivated to make my last year a great one. We have an amazing year planned for TRSTY and I hope to see you all at events and around the temple.

sign up!

TEEN SHABBATS! =================================================================== ==========

Several times a year TRSTY hosts Teen Shabbats. These events are run from start to finish

by our Teen Board. The board creates and leads Friday night services and a fun program.

We also have a potluck dinner, services and hang out time in the Youth Lounge. These ser-

vices are casual (wear jeans!), led by TRSTY-ites and include lots of music.

NORTH AMERICAN FEDERATION OF

TEMPLE YOUTH

NFTY-MAR brings together Reform Jewish teens from Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC,

Delaware, North Carolina, West Virginia, and far-Eastern Tennessee. Our members come

together at Kallot may times during the year for learning, fun, worship, community service,

and fellowship. For more information and for an application to attend an upcoming Kallah,

Non-Event Programs This year, we will be offering several “non-events.” These will offer a way to connect to TRSTY that you don’t need to register

for on eventbrite and will have less structure but offer you a chance to hang out with your TRS friends or communicate with

them in a new way!

TRSTY’s will again be hosting a March Madness tournament. Entry fees vary, but all proceeds go to the winner of each com-

petition’s choice of philanthropy! Last year we raised over $200 between our competitions to donate to two different philan-

thropies!

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, once Netivot and Hebrew School start, we will be offering the TRSTY lounge! The youth

lounge will be open for those interested to do homework, hang out with friends, play foosball and air hockey and just see

their TRS friends in a totally unstructured way!
