The Hydraulic oil is responsible for the proper functioning of theAircraft flight control systems like undercarriage system during takeoff and landing, hydro boosters and jacks for operating the different control systems. The Aircraftbeing highly sophisticated machinery the Hydraulic oil has to be of a very high standard as far as cleanliness of oil is concerned. If the Hydraulic oil is not of a very highgrade of cleanliness it can cause system wear and also lead to the Hydraulic system failure during flight which can be easily termed as a huge loss considering the costof the Aircraft and more importantly the time, effort and money required to train a combat pilot. I, Wg Cdr Suraj Kumar myself being a fighter pilot and having servedthe Indian Airforce for 22 years was aware of these things. I since the beginning of my career in the IAF had a technical bent of mind and used to spend a lot of timewith the technical staff responsible for the maintenance of the Aircrafts which I used to fly. As a result of this I gained immense knowledge about the various Aircraftsystems and the maintenance procedures followed to ensure flight safety. In the year 2011,1 decided to undertake Research and Development in the field of HydraulicOil systems in the Indian Air Force as by this time I had able support in the form of my son who had completed his B.Tech and MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, a top 15 B-School of the country. In the initial part of my research I made visits to various Indian Air Force Stations to study the Hydraulic systems of the Aircrafts. Afterthoroughly studying and analyzing the various Hydraulic systems I came to the conclusion that a traditional oil filtration system will not work on the Aircraft as thepressure required to actuate the Hydraulic system is very high and cannot be taken by any filtration system which is capable of filtering the oil to a Super-clean standard(i.e. NAS 3 level or below). During my initial visits I also studied the procedures by which the oil is filled into the aircraft and also how it is drained out. Moreover, Ialso studied the quality of the fresh oil bought by the Air Force. During this phase of research I came across the Hydraulic Servicing Trolley, commonly referred to asthe HST. This HST is equipment which is used to bring the oil to a very high pressure (200 bar) so as to bring about the circulation of oil in the Aircraft Hydraulicsystem and actuate the undercarriage and various rudders without switching on the Aircraft. I decided to develop a process in which first the oil in the HST is cleaned toSuper-clean level and then circulated in the Aircraft. After doing repeated experiments, I was able to formulate a definite process using which the oil in the Aircraft canbe brought to Super-clean level and then be maintained at that same level. The details of the process are given in the complete description separatelyNo. of Pages : 7 No. of Claims : 121673 The Patent Office Journal 16/11/2012 9. A state 4 is added in the state machine of the handover channel; when the handover channel is in the state 1, ifthere is a handover access message transmitted from a user terminal to the base station, then the handover channel enters the state 2; ifa handover access message transmitted by other user terminals is received at this time, then the handover channel enters the state 4; inthe state 4, the base station prevents the user terminals causing collisions from accessing the handover channel. The present inventioncan effectively solve the problems of uplink interference, downlink crosstalk and hang of the user terminals which are caused by thehandover collisions of the global system for mobile communication (GSM) pico base station, thus the success rate of the handover isgreatly improved, so that the GSM pico base station system can be utilized more widely, which provides better services for the users.No. of Pages : 18 No. of Claims : 1021716 The Patent Office Journal 16/11/2012 52.
