Bacteria is a fact of life but growth can be reduced by more than 99% by incorporating Microban®

However hard we try, there’s no getting away from bacteria. Some are good for us, others are neutral, but a few are dangerous.Therefore, it makes sense to provide hygienic built environments that work against their potentially harmful effects.

Microban built-in antibacterial protection is a key factor to tackling bacteria and the risks of cross contamination in the home, within care facilities and also hospitals. For example, where the same facilities are used a number of times a day. How do shower trays with Microban work?Built-in during the manufacturing process, Microban antibacterial technology becomes an integral part of the product matrix. Once bacteria come into contact with the Microban surface, the technology works by disrupting their biological functioning, the lifecycle cannot proceed and the bacteria die.

The next level of hygiene.Microban protection is designed to support normal cleaning practice by working continuously to keep harmful bacteria and mould at bay. Given the shared nature of shower trays within healthcare facilities Microban antibacterial technology supports infection control by minimising the risk of cross-contamination.

However built-in Microban antibacterial protection should not be used as a replacement for a normal cleaning routine – it supports hygiene between cleanings.

How do I know that Microban antibacterial protection is safe?Microban technology has undergone extensive independent laboratory testing and has a long history of safe use. Microban additives can be found in the products of leading consumer, industrial and medical product manufacturers around the world. The biocidal active components of Microban antimicrobial additives are notifi ed in Europe according to the Biocidal Products Directive (BPD) 98/8/EC for the relevant product types, in accordance with their end use application. In addition to this, and where necessary, Microban antimicrobial additive masterbatches are registered in accordance with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restrictionof Chemicals).

PRIMO XTRA SHOWER WASTE PUMP

The quiet, unblockable, maintenance free shower waste pump.

Removes waste water from the shower area when there is no direct access to a ground level drain. Suitable for use with electric and mixer showers.
