LithuaniaArchitecture of light

Our specialists were the first in Lithuania to install wire mesh facades in the Passenger terminal of Kaunas airport.

The facade that is not common in Lithuania was chosen not only to make the building unique but also because of its practical characteristics.

The wire mesh facade performs the function of blinds in the building: the light penetrates to the building through the metal mesh claddings but strong as a wall textile-like structure of the mesh protects it from the wind, rain and snow as well as ensures perfect visibility from the inside.

The facades covered with stainless steal wire mesh are called the "architecture of light” because they reflect the light and colours, which become an integral part of the building’s architecture.

House of

Parlament

Lithuania

The reconstruction of the 2nd Parliament House of the Republic of Lithuania was carried out by building a new meeting hall and the 3rd and 4th floors. STATICUS constructed the façade system with sound insulating glass units and windows pushed outwards automatically (depending on the need of ventilation). The ventilated façade has been mounted using stone tiles. In order to keep the space of the wing light, STATICUS mounted two roofs of a pyramid form. Sound insulating doors of increased safety with automatically controlled locks and many firebreak partitions have been installed inside the building. The meeting hall is surrounded by curvy partitions of frameless glass.

Facades that blend in with the greenness

We have completed the facades of the first building in the Sunrise Valley technology park and business incubator in the period of four months.

The architecture of the building stands out for its double ferro-concrete construction. The facade constructions made of aluminium are installed between two ferro-concrete carcasses. The decorative ferro-concrete carcass adds a look of luxury and steadiness to the building.

The specialists faced a challenging task of inserting the facade constructions between two independent ferro-concrete constructions and also ensuring the tightness of the building.

Due to the “green” glass packets used in the project the building has blended in with the greenness of the Sunrise Valley.
