1. INTRODUCTION

ThisOrderingGuidecoversourPTP800LicensedEthernetMicrowavesolution.Itisintendedtoprovideastructuredguidetoorderingalinkwithanyaccessoriesandancillaryitemsforasuccessfulinstallation.Thefollowingstepsareinvolvedinplanningandorderingyoursystem:

Steps Activities

1 Tobegin,werecommendthatyoucompleteasitesurvey.ThenyoucanplanyourlinkusingyourpreferredplanningtoolorourPTPLINKPlannertoolwhichisavailableatmotorola.com/ptp.Availableasastand-alonetoolorincludedinourOnePointWireless,PTPLINKPlannerisacustomizedtoolforplanningandoptimizingPTP800linksinanyRFbandbetween6and38GHz.

2 ApplyforyourlicenseusingyourpreferredlicensingmethodorourFCCMicrowaveLicenseCoordinationServices(inU.S.only).Afterplanningthelink,ourPTPLINKPlannertoolwillprovidedetailstohelpyoucompletethelicensingapplication.

3 ReceiveyourlicenseorPriorCoordinationNotification(PCN).ItisimportanttonotethatyoushouldnotorderyourPTP800equipmentuntilyoureceiveyourlicenseorPCNindicatingthefrequencythatyourlicensestipulates.

4 UseourPTPLINKPlannertoconfigureyourlinkandobtainaBillofMaterials(BOM).LINKPlanner’sbuilt-inconfigurationfeaturegeneratesacompletelicensed-microwaveBill-of-Materials(BOM),showingallthecomponentsandaccessoriesrequiredforlinkinstallation.
