• Please be considerate of other drivers when entering James Ave.

• In order to prevent a backup of traffic please allow cars traveling from the west to enter ahead of you whenever possible.

• The gate at the top of the parking lot leading onto the playground will be locked at all times. This will be accessible for teachers only and not for arriving or departing students.

• Once you enter James Ave. proceed toward the swim club and turn right onto our drive.

• Begin your goodbyes and have backpacks, lunches, etc. ready to go!

Ruth Moyer Access Drive• Do not let your children

out of the car anywhere on the access drive other then designated drop off places. There is no sidewalk and it will not be safe. Please wait until you have entered the loading/unloading zone.

• Once you enter the access drive please be conscious of the line of traffic and watch for the person on duty to direct you into the unloading or loading zone. This procedure will move quickly in order to prevent traffic back up.

Ruth Moyer Access Drive

• Proceed slowly into the unloading/loading zone and come to a full stop.

• Stay in your vehicle• Have children exit as quickly

as possible, proceed to the sidewalk, and enter the building through the gym doors.

• Do not leave the unloading/loading zone until prompted by our staff. Student Entrance

Drop Off/Pick Up

Drop Off (Car Riders)• Students may enter building at

7:30. They will stay in Gym until 8:00 to read

• Students continue to enter building from rear entrance until 8:15

• Loop supervision ends at 8:15• If you arrive after supervision

is scheduled please walk your child into school and sign them in the office.

Pick Up (Car Riders)• Dismissal will begin

promptly at 3:00.• Loading zone supervised

until 3:30• After 3:30 parent must

come to the office to pick students up.

Visitor Parking

• Four parking spots along the side of the drive will be Visitor Parking Only.

• Please do not park in these spots during drop off and pick up times.

• These spots will be used for children who need extra time for loading/unloading.

• These spots may be used by parents and other visitors throughout the school day.

Highland Ave

• Please wait for the Traffic Guard to allow you to proceed.

• Traffic will be stopped both ways on Highland to allow parents to exit our access drive.

• Please be aware of the new markings on Highland Avenue to provide more visibility for cars leaving the access drive.

• The old drop off zone in front of the building is now parking spaces without restrictions. Our hope is that these spaces will be occupied by staff.

• The purpose of the access drive is to make our campus safer. Please utilize the loop and do not drop off or pickup in the former loading zone.

Highland Ave

• The driveway on the playground side of the campus is off limits for drop off and pick up. The parking spaces on this side are designated for handicapped, faculty, and staff only.

• Do not use either drive as a turn around at any time, this is a major safety issue.

Sidewalks

• Please encourage sidewalk usage and cross only at the crosswalk.

• Bicycles riders (4th and 5th Grade) must walk their bike in front of and on campus.

• James Ave. traffic will be increased so please use caution when crossing at this intersection.
