Proverbs 8:20 I (Wisdom, Jesus, Word of God) lead in the Way of Righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: 21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

John 14 15 If ye love Me, keep My Command-ments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

The Son of God declares Himself to have been engaged in the creation of the world. How able, how fit is the Son of God to be the Savior of the world, who was the Creator of it! The Son of God was ordained, before the world, to that great work. Does he delight in saving wretched sinners, and shall not we delight in His Salvation?

We are His creation; let us receive His salvation.

32 Now therefore hearken unto Me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep My Ways. 33 Hear (same word as hearken) instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. 34 Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.

To hearken unto the Lord and to His instruction

Is to be wise and to be blessed.To hearken is to listen with full attention,

Hear intelligently, and

Walk obediently.

35 For whoso findeth Me (Wisdom, Word of God, Jesus) findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD.

Not only do men and women need to receive Jesus as Savior, we must

submit unto Him as Lord of our lives.

Willingly obey every Word of God, as we are led and empowered by

the Holy Spirit of God.

36 But he that sinneth against Me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate Me love death.

This is the wrong choice.

God has given us the free will to choose:

Love Him, obey Him and be blessed.

Or hate Him and His Word and be damned.

God didn’t create us to be robots, automatically doing exactly what we were created to do.

The Lord loves us and wants us to willingly love Him in return.

1 John 5 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His Commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His Commandments: and His Command-ments are not grievous (burdensome).

Not only does the Lord teach us how to live,

He gives us the Power to do what He says.
