Located in Provence.Every town in Provence has its market day with local vendors filling the village square.Artisanal breads and jams, local fruits andvegetables and artisanal soaps are alwaysfeatured. It was at one of these market days that we first found Provence Santé, in 1992...

A dedication to quality& workmanship.The owners, Stephane and Natacha Lecaille, bring their skills and dedication to combiningthe Provençal traditions of the past with the science of today. Stephane is a master savon-nier, a soapmaker, and Natacha is a trainedchemiste, skilled in formulating and fragrancingsoaps and bath and personal care products.

A tradition of fine soapmaking.Provence Sante operates out of a picturesque 300-year-old former abbey in the medieval village of Lussan in southern France. From this inspirational setting come rich and elegant soaps, perfumes, and superior moisturizing and personal care products.

The distinctive fragrances of Provence.Provence Sante’s culture reflects the tempo of their Provençal community. There is a pride ofcraftsmanship and place, a belief that their products perform well, and a passion to servetheir community with superior products and exceptional experiences.

Provence Sante’s products echo the fragrances of their Provence locale. Ten distinctively Provençal fragrances: Apricot, Bergamot, Fig, Jasmine, Lavender, Linden, Sweet Almond, Vervain, Vetiver, and Wild Rose.

The layered & interactivecomposition of aroma.• Head notes are the first scents to be detected and they may quickly pass. Citrus fragrancesare common head notes.

• Heart notes appear next, and these componentshave longevity and the capacity to developmore fully through interaction with a person’sskin. Often floral or fruity, heart notes may lastfor several hours.

• Base notes are commonly woodsy and these elements are slow to evaporate and can lingerpleasantly for quite a long time.Fragrances have a power of

Formulated by master perfumers.Formulated by master perfumers located in the recognized center of perfumery,Grasse, France, Provence Sante’s perfumesare a richly European experience. Throughartfully blending essential oils and fragranceoils each perfume is composed of 20 or more “notes.”

Three categories of notes are used in tradi-tionally crafted perfume: head (top) notes,heart (middle) notes, and base (bottom) notes.The perfumer, or “nose,” orchestrates thesenotes to create complexity and dimension in the fragrance.

The traditional art of fine soapmaking.Soap is created when a fat or oil is mixed with an alkali salt. A chemical reaction occurscalled saponification. Voila! Soap!

Vegetable base. Shea butter.All Provence Santé soaps are made with a vegetable base—no animal sourced ingredients.Every soap is enriched with shea butter, a naturalfat from the nut of the African shea fruit, whichdoes not saponify and, therefore, remains on your skin as a natural emollient and moisturizer.

Triple-milled.All Provence Santé soap is blended thoroughly from at least three times through a classic steelmilling machine. This mixes the ingredientsand fragrances evenly while squeezing outany extra moisture or air.

A master savonnier.Stephane Lecaille, master savonnier and owner,applies art, science, and thirty years of experi-ence to create soaps that smell divine, lather well and last an incredibly long time.

Expertise& experience.Creating a premiere soap is not a recipe-following event. This, in fact, is where the savonnier and his/her expertise and instinct come to bear, and where delightfully excep-tional soap is a possibility. Here are some perfumes

Eau de toilette.Lightly perfumed with the scents of Provence, a delightful water to splash on after-bath, use to gently scent linens, and even as a clean and refreshing room spray.

Provençal bodycare.Inspired by the local scents of the Provence countryside: Apricot, Bergamot, Fig, Jasmine,Lavender, Linden, Sweet Almond, Vervain, Vetiver and Wild Rose.

A long tradition of olive oil & soap.Long ago the highest quality soaps were made in Marseilles in the south of France. In contrast to the coarser tallow-based soapsof northern Europe, these gentle soaps always featured an olive-oil base. Whilemany things have changed over the last 800 years or so, this tradition is, fortunately,alive, well, and as natural as ever.
