The location of Provence.• Provence is

• It is the direct descendent of the historical French province of Provence.

• It’s boarders are more or less the same as old.

• Provence is located in the Southern part of France

•Provence is located between the Mediterranean coastline and the Alps•It has great location and climatewhich the tourists love.•Provence is a great place to visit because is has beautiful scenery and a lot of stores.

•As you can see above its borders are Languedoc Toussillon, Auvergne, Rhone Alpes, and Italy.

The regional capital city of Provence is, Marseille.

Weather of Marseille•The summer/holiday season lasts for six months, from May to October, although also in April sometimes there are temperatures above 20 °C (68.0 °F). •Winters are mild, with average temperature 12 °C (54 °F) during the day and 4 °C (39 °F) at night between December–January–February.

A major castle in ProvenceChâteau d’ Allemagne-en-Provence

•This castle is located in South-Eastern Provence.•It is located in the department of •Alpes-de- Haute-Provence.

•Unlike the other French town called Allemagne, which changed its name to Fleury Sur Orne in 1916 during World War I , Allemagne-en-Provence kept its name.•The inhabitants are called Armagnois / Allemagniens (not Allemands French: Germans).• The town is situated north of the Verdon River, about halfway between Manoque and the Lac du Sainte Croix , the largest reservoir in France, which forms the western end of the Verdon Gorge.

“Most Beautiful Village” in Provence• Moustiers-Ste-Marie is a

lovely medieval village in a gorgeous setting, near the Gorges de Verdon.

•This is a picture of the Notre-Dame church and bell tower with cliffs backdrop, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

•It lies at the western entrance to the Gorges du Verdon.•The village has been a center of the pottery trade, especially faïence, for centuries.•A spring flows out of the cliff, creating a waterfall directly out of the center of town.

•Provence is an area that has many foods.•Some foods are, Bouillabaise (hot soup made with fish), Ratatouille (spicy dish of vegetable) and soupe au pistou (soup with pesto/basil). • Another meat that is famous in Provence is beef.•Beef is often prepared as a stew called boeuf en daube with vegetables being a main staple served as a gratin, in salads or stuffed with meat. •Cuisine of the region emphasizes seasonings such as herbs and garlic.

•Bouillabaisse is a popular fish soup.

Abbaye De Montmajour

•Abbaye De Montmajour was founded in 948 in the middle of the Arles countryside.•It was built between the 10th and the 13th century.

•The Abbey is noted for its 11th-14th century graves, carved in the rock.•It was an important pilgrimage site during the Middle Ages.

•The abbey is cared for as a historic monument by the Centre des monuments nationaux.
