Rosenbauer serves the Airport Fire Services around the world with innovative and professionally designed quality PANTHER ARFF Vehicles. Chassis, superstructure and fire fighting systems are fully integrated, designed and manu-factured within the Rosenbauer Group.

The PANTHER Series include ARFF Vehicles on 2-, 3- and 4-axle chassis with permanent all-wheel drive and engine horse powers from 500 to 1260 HP and tank volumes from 6000 to 19000 liters. Rosenbauer offers the perfect blend of chassis, superstructure and fire fighting technology from a single source and assures long term support of the product. All components have been developed to obtain fully integrated systems with state-of-the-art CAN bus controls. More than 800 PANTHERS (as of 2010) are in service on all five continents.

Chassis and superstructures

PANTHER

The Chassis have been developed jointly with the superstructures for a perfect match of interfaces. The closed box frame with welded cross members ensures rigidity, the inde-pendently suspended axles and coil springs ensure unsurpassed on- and off-road mobility. Chassis drive options: Single or multiple engine con-figurations from 500 to 1260 HP are available. Depending on the engine configuration selected, the accel-eration from 0 80 km/h can be achieved within 25 seconds or below. On demand, Rosenbauer shall work out an individual time-path calcula-tion for your airport to ensure that the response time as stipulated by ICAO is met!

Engines are selected to comply with increasingly demanding ex-haust emission regulations. (EURO 5 with TUEV certification)

The superstructure in modular design features low overall center of gravity and almost equal weight distribu-tion for superior drive performance.Form follows function ergonomic controls are embedded in modern design which Rosenbauer has jointly developed with professional fire fight-ers and industrial designers. The best suitable materials have been selected for each part to achieve durability, corrosion resistance and reduced overall weight light alloy and man-made materials. Well accessible locker

space for fire fighting accessories is provided. A multi-master CAN bus technology is used for operational safety. The cabin is a safe and ergo-nomic working place for your firemen with monitor display for the control of all functions. The cabin safety is EC R29 compliant with TV approved seat belt anchoring and B/A fixtures.

The cabin offers excellent allround visibility, fast entrance and exit, large hinged doors (with pneumatic doors as option), left and right hand steering option and a seating capacity of up to 1 + 5 firemen.


The fire fighting components are designed and manufactured by Rosenbauer and form a fully integrated and powerful system. Avail-able options are: Pumps for outputs up to 10000 l/min with matching automatic foam pro portioning systems

Pump drive either by power divider or direct engine drive; in both cases the uninterrupted full pump output is ensured under any condition

Roof and bumper turrets for outputs up to 10000 l/min solution and throw ranges up to 90 meters

The most modern manufacturing plant and methods are used for the PANTHERS. The industrial background of Rosenbauer features 3-dimensional computer aided design, finite element methods, computer simulations, laser cutting machines, CNC machines etc. and is employed to achieve profes-sional quality for custom built units.


Many firemen are working in Rosenbauer and dedicate their ex-pertise to this product. Rosenbauer is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified and has gained world-wide reputation for quality, product reliability and performance. Each ARFF Vehicle and part of it is thoroughly tested during the manufacturing process and prior to delivery.
