Introduction of RFID at Store Level
Aims to streamline the supply chain processAbility to create more accurate sales ordersOpportunity to locate the products fasterGreater visibility into stock levels
Packing pallets with orders according to aisle numbers before transporting it from the DC’s– easier to sort into six wheelers and to park them into assigned bays
Allotting Aisle Numbers/Bays and parking the pallets in the allotted aisle number/bays
Pallets in the allotted bays will help find products more quicker when filling the ends or the shelves
Fitting the pallets with RFID chips in order to store the product quantities onto them for faster and accurate retrieval

• Greater visibility of product location and quantity• Faster turnaround to fill the shelves and aisle ends• Chances of committing mistakes are reduced • Information gives visibility to the whole system

Weakness• Initial investment • May not be feasible for smaller stores w.r.t to investment• Different stores will have different storage floor plans
