  • Executive Summary Since signing sister city affiliation agreement between Hyderabad and Miyoshi city in July, 2006, many projects have been challenged. Miyoshi City would propose more successful projects based on Win- Win based collaboration of Agricultural domain as follows.   • Harvesting and Marketing of Japanese Strawberry 3 A agricultural corporation established in Yamamoto town, Japan where the giant Tsunami washed 95% strawberry farms away, constructed a farm in Pune, India. The farm applies unique technologies and produces Japanese strawberry which attract consumers in Mumbai with profitable price. It is recommendable that Japanese strawberry farms are to be constructed in Hyderabad area. Are there any enterprises to take up the business? 2014/6/18

  • Cultivation Method Soil CultivationAdvanced Nutriculture Cultivation on raised benches The project employs unique cultivation method, which uses not soil, but a bed of coco peat, which is abundant in India. The coco peat system is superior to cultivation using in every aspect: Almost no pesticide is necessary, there is minimal risk of disease, pest or root rot, and there is no need for professional knowledge or hard labor. Such green houses can be constructed even on barren land. 6 2014/6/18

  • Remote Monitoring Remote monitoring system was provided for Pune project. Important parameters, such as ambient temperature, water and coco bed temperature, humidity, can be monitored at a control room in Japan through internet.   • Sales of Ichigo The project has a 800 m-sq green house and planted 4,000 saplings imported from Yamamoto town. It was harvested 5 Kg per day in March, 2013. The Ichigo strawberry were sold to luxury hotels in Mumbai. The average rate of the Ichigo was Rs 500 to Rs 600 per Kg. Currently strawberries are grown in open air farms are sold at Rs 100 per Kg. Transportation of strawberries become big issue. Shock less packaging and cool van can maintain quality. 8 2014/6/18

  • Self-harvesting Orchard for tourist attraction 9 There are many self-harvesting orchards in Japan. Hirata Farm is the most reputable orchard among them. It is recommendable that self-harvesting type orchard business shall be established in India. Because it will provide a lot of fun and relaxation opportunity to Indian people. 2014/6/18
