Transcript of Project Review #2

• Real Life 101 provides educational services for college-aged students. The focus of the company is to present curriculum that is otherwise not taught in a classroom format, for example, how to manage a credit card. Recently, the company has been making the transition to digital, moving their content to an online format.

The Client…

Overview…

• Real Life wants to bring college students to their website, students who have questions about day-to-day life.

• Specifically, they aim to attract early college students, who are on their own/independent.

• With videos, the goal is to get across a message of convenience, helpfulness, and modernity.

• To that extent, we are designing a regular animated intro for these videos, one that incorporates Real Life design elements with modern and youthful appeal.

Early Hand-Drawn drafts

- Too similar to original

- Too long

- Too much film

Final Decision

- Completely different

- Modern

- Entirely animated

Elements of THEIR design

• For our animation, we will be using icons from Real Life’s website, and their logo.

Process

The icons are divided into strands and imported as separate files…
