What is an AED? Automated External Defibrillator Designed to deliver an electric shock to

the heart under prescribed conditions Simplified operation makes it easy for

ANYBODY to use Used by professional rescuers and

untrained laypersons Electric shock can restart the heartbeat

of a pulseless victim
