Review QuestionsUNIT DIALOGUE: Program Review and Annual Planning is a process in which all members of a unit engage. Through what methods have you reached out to all members of your unit and engaged in that dialogue for this year's Annual Plan or Program Review?
CSCD is an academic counseling department combined of various counseling programs in Student Development such as Academic Counseling, Transfer, Career, International, Gateway to College, LGBT & MRSD. The department chair solicited feedback from faculty through email, department listserve and monthly meetings. In addition, instructions were sent to all CSCD faculty and staff members for how to access and view the draft version of the program review in curricunet. During the October 18th Flex Day CSCD faculty and staff members broke into groups to discuss our units counseling programs, services, planning objectives and resource needs. Each group focused on two questions. 1. What currently works/functions in CSCD? 2. What services/programs would you like CSCD to focus on/provide over the next 1-3 years? We continued the robust dialogue at our monthly department meeting on October 26, 2016 where faculty provided additional feedback. Also, CSCD faculty discussed resource allocations received from program review 2014-15 and those resources not awarded which we want to roll-over into our 2015-16 review as well as additional request to meet our CSCD program/service needs.

PLANNING: After analyzing your data trends and evaluating the progress you've made over the last year and how well you are meeting your unit outcomes, indicate your department’s major planning objectives for next year (2016-17). (*ANSWER ONLY FOR 3-YEAR PROGRAM REVIEW*)
Assessment CurrencyAccording to the CCSF Assessment Plan, outcomes are assessed for services and programs and courses at least once every 3 years. Please comment on how you are currently satisfying this 3-year benchmark.
CSCD has five program SLO's, each lead by a program coordinator which have been assessed and are up to date with the 3 year benchmark. All programs are planning to conduct an assessment this fall 2016 and report their findings at the end of the term. Program SLO's include: Career, Transfer, Veterans, Student Athletes and International Students. At our CSCD meeting on October 26, 2016 each SLO Lead gave a brief update and indicated any changes to the program SLO, assessment tools and next assessment date. All five CSCD SLO's will be assessed this fall 2016 term.
