i. Intended to replace the African American Cultural Center building at 708 South Matthews inUrbana
ii. Includes demolition of the existing vacated structure and erecting a new facility, ofsimilar square footage (4-story, 8,200 gross square feet)
iii. The planned square footage of this new facility is not expected to change as fundsidentified are at the limit.
iv. Provide program support for the African American Cultural Center on one site inconcert with the campus master and strategic plan
v. Using existing and past program initiatives as a guide, the selected architectural teamfor this project is expected to meet with the building occupants/users and otheruniversity stakeholders to validate the basis of design and facilitate construction ofthe facility
