2nd October, 2014 Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) has granted thecountry's first LOS for Solar Power to Buksh Solar Pvt. Ltd. (BSPL) for its 10 MW

Solar powered generation facility catering to Bahawalpur and Cholistan districts.Buksh Solar is a special purpose vehicle of Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd. solely setup tofacilitate the 10 MW Solar IPP that would sell electricity to Multan Electric PowerCompany (MEPCO).

INNOVATION CAPABILITY

January 2015 introduced the first ever renewable energy plan targeting theresidential sector. Bank Alfalah Limited and Buksh Energy joined hands under the

banner of Green Financing Partnership. The program was designed for BankAlfalah Limited Classic, Gold and Premium credit card customers. The solarsolutions ranged from 500W upto 4.5kW, customizable and designed according to thecustomer's demands.

ONE4ALL

Targeting the low income class of the economy, BEPL introduced a unique 'Plug nPlay' solar kit comprising of a Fan, LED Lights and a FM Radio under the 'CleanEnergy Loan' model. BE has been able to loan out more than 100 kits in the first twomonths of the Yr. 2015.

Identifying The Right Technology Partner

Buksh Energy' scope of work includes a turnkey project execution, conducting a high level duediligence of the project company and the project documents leading to government approvals,complete on-ground work including site visits, reviewing the financing documents, engagementwith the consultants and other third-parties involved as well as the provision of transactionclosing support along with negotiations on financial and technical grounds with the EPC service

provider.

We evaluate and assess premises and compounds to find suitable locations for solar powerstations. Assessments include solar insulation analysis, utility interconnection requirements andtechnology selection.

In order to obtain a power purchase agreement we prepare feasibility studies which includedimensioning of the power plant, a preliminary EPC project plan, a financial projection andgeotechnical studies. All steps are adapted to local regulations.

We select experienced EPC companies fitting for the individual project and support EPCs duringthe project planning and technical design process. Our local knowledge is used to find sub-contractors and support logistics. We act as link to the utility company for power networkconnection. We also conduct due diligence studies of EPC proposals and designs.

BEPL acts as primary point of contact for EPC, sub-contractors, local authorities, utility companyand investors. In this way we ensure a timely interconnection to the power network.

BEPL creates or supports the operating company in maintenance and monitoring of the powerplant. We facilitate contracts with EPCs and can ensure 24h monitoring of the installation.
