Hani Nigim, is a Professor of Engineering with many years of teaching research, and consulting experience in various academic and engineering projects. Professor Nigim was awarded his PhD degree from Leicester University, England, in 1981. Since then, he has occupied many academic positions such as Dean of Engineering at Birzeit University, the University President of Al Azhar University- Gaza, and the Coordinator of the National Tertiary Education Project which is funded by World Bank and the European Community. Professor Nigim was a visiting Professor and invited speaker to many international academic and industrial institutions; UK, USA, Germany, France, Japan, China, South Korea….etc. He has many publications in specialized international conferences and journals. In addition, he has organized many engineering conferences and exhibitions held in Palestine and abroad. Professor Nigim has supervised many research projects related to mechanical and infrastructure engineering including renewable energy and water, as well as aerodynamic and fluid mechanics applications. In addition, he was a technical consultant, planner and designer of many engineering projects, these projects were sponsored by local and International entities. Professor Nigim has served on numerous Professional Committees, Boards of Directors and Trustees.
