Zero Visit (6 Months before the launch of the program) Outcome: Green signal to launch engineering
program or program is not allowed to start 1st interim Visit (End of 1st year of start of
program) 2nd Interim Visit (Start of 3rd year of program) Accreditation Visit (Start of 4th Year of Program)
Confirmatory visit if there are still weaknesses in the program in terms of:
Faculty Infrastructure Curriculum specially Lab work
Monitoring of Programs by Pakistan Engineering Council through
Engineering Accreditation Committee
Every University has to follow unified curriculum
Tough PEC regulations have played major role of deterrent in mushroom growth of engineering Institutions
Pakistan enters into the Washington Accord It would facilitate mobility of
engineering graduates and professionals of Pakistan at international levels.
