New Part Numbers & Price Guide

Page 2: Product: Power Factor & Harmonics: StacoVAR: Part Numbers

Why?1. Limited Options List• Previous part number system did not allow for

configurations with part numbers greater than 24 characters

2. Smaller Part Numbers• With a compressed part number all standard units

and standard options are called out within a smaller part number.

3. Speed up Quoting Process4. Allow orders to flow through the factory more quickly

and seamlessly

Impact• SCDs for the previous units have been obsoleted (NOT

deleted)• All data has been retained for reference and for any repeat

business and purchases.

• New family style SCDs are available via the web for 95% of our client’s needs. There is also a current rating drawing that covers the entire family of products for circuit breaker and wire sizing needs.

• Clients requiring job specific SCDs that cannot be satisfied with the standard family SCD can be provided one, 2 wks ARO and at an additional cost.

ImpactThe new family SCDs are improved upon by showing:

• conduit penetration locations

• anchoring details

• clearance requirements not previously noted in the SCDs

Reasons for Job Specific Drawings• Job requires the unit to be labeled for the specific load

or MCC panel

• Client changes other labels and designations on the standard product

• Any other changes that would make the family drawings no longer acceptable to the rest of the world

Review and Implement• Review the price guide and drawings and let me know if you

have any questions. • Bill of materials are either in process or have been copied to

allow order entry to enter orders without a new part number request.

• All of the part numbers within the new price guide shall be loaded, costed and reviewed by the end of this year.

• The only orders that will require assistance from engineering will be any special order not noted as standard product or already within the price guide.
