Sensing range / Switching frequency Magnetic proximity switches have a considerably higher sensing range compared to inductive proximity switches. They detect damping magnets without contact to up to 70 mm. The ifm sensors reach a switching frequency of more than 5,000 Hz. This high switching frequency applies to the whole temperature range. Wide temperature range Their insensitivity to very fast temperature changes in a wide temperature range of 0 to 100 °C allows the use of the units even in applications with strong temperature fluctuations. Hygienic areas Due to the material combination of PEEK and stainless steel as well as the robust M12 connectors with gold-plated contacts, the sensors are particularly suited for the most difficult conditions in hygienic food and pharmaceutical applications. Due to the permanently legible laser type label the unit can still be clearly identified after years of aggressive cleaning. Resistant in all applications: IP 68 / IP 69 K.
