Demanding applicationsDue to their operating principle, magnetic proximity switchescan detect special targets (permanent magnets) throughall non-magnetisable materials such as non-ferrous metal,stainless steel, aluminium, plastics and glass.
Long sensing rangeMagnetic proximity switches operate similarly to inductiveproximity switches. They detect damping magnets with-out contact. Due to this operating principle an extremelyhigh sensing range can also be achieved with smallertypes.
High switching frequencyThe ifm sensors reach a switching frequency of more than5,000 Hz. This high switching frequency applies to thewhole temperature range.
Wide temperature rangeThe wide temperature range of -25 to 75 °C within whicha safe function is guaranteed, enables the use of the unitsin areas with considerable temperature fluctuations.
Variable useMagnetic proximity switches can be used variably. Theycan be mounted non flush and, in all non-magnetisablematerials, also flush without reducing the sensing range.
Small designs with long sensingranges up to 70 mm.
High switching frequency of morethan 5,000 Hz for fast processes.
All types can be used variably forboth flush and non-flush installation.
Wide temperature range of-25...75 °C for demandingapplications.
