We can tell from the photos that the weekend commenced with a fun day at the Kondinin Ladies Day Tennis Tournament last Friday Whilst a little down on numbers this year 24 ladies across the district come along who enjoyed some great games of tennis fantastic prizes and a delicious lunch together in the Bill Smoker Room A huge thank you to Maree Browning for arranging the catering to Tammy Wilkins for running the day and the Shire work crew who assisted in erecting the temporary lsquoKondinin Tennis Club Roomsrsquo This year the Tennis Club was again fortunate to receive very generous sponsorship from the following organisations ACORP Construction Lacour Energy Western Areas Plum Grove Sportspower Narrogin Bendigo Bank Kulin Emerald Grain Kulin Mitre 10 and Rabobank Lake Grace The results of the tournaments were as follows Best dressed Kelly Browning and Jen Henderer Block 1 winners - Tammy Wilkins and Yvonne Bowey

KONDININ LADIES DAY TENNIS TOURNAMENT

We can tell from the photos that the weekend commenced with a fun day at the Kondinin Ladies Day Tennis Tournament last Friday Whilst a little down on numbers this year 24 ladies across the district come along who enjoyed some great games of tennis fantastic prizes and a delicious lunch together in the Bill Smoker Room A huge thank you to Maree Browning for arranging the catering to Tammy Wilkins for running the day and the Shire work crew who assisted in erecting the temporary lsquoKondinin Tennis Club Roomsrsquo This year the Tennis Club was again fortunate to receive very generous sponsorship from the following organisations ACORP Construction Lacour Energy Western Areas Plum Grove Sportspower Narrogin Bendigo Bank Kulin Emerald Grain Kulin Mitre 10 and Rabobank Lake Grace The results of the tournaments were as follows Best dressed Kelly Browning and Jen Henderer Block 1 winners - Tammy Wilkins and Yvonne Bowey

The Summer of Good Sports competition offers new clubs who join the free program the

opportunity to win $500 for their club

Community sporting clubs are the hub of community life They strengthen communities by creating opportunities

for people to develop stronger social bonds providing family-friendly environments and promoting healthier

lifestyles However running a community sporting club is hard work and it can be difficult to find time to focus on

what makes your club great ndash the feeling of being part of being part of something bigger

The Good Sports team supports clubs to get on with enjoying their summer providing the free tools resources

and supports clubs need to create the best sporting experience for their members and guests It takes out the

guesswork giving volunteers peace of mind and making clubs more appealing places for communities to come

together The result is healthier clubs and stronger communities The Good Sports program includes policies

around alcohol management tobacco illegal drugs safe transport junior role-modelling and in some states

healthy eating and mental health
