Private Label Program

Soy Candles We are proud to provide private label Soy Candles and natural Soaps. We deal with customers of all sizes! Private labelling is a fantastic solution for retail, incentive gifts, thank-you gifts, weddings, anniversaries — the options are endless! Our hand-poured candles are made from a blend of soy, palm, beeswax and other natural waxes and oils for a non-toxic, biodegradable alternative to paraffin. They are scented with all-natural fragrance blends with a focus on pure essential oils supporting renewable North American agriculture. We do not use paraffin or toxic petroleum by-products. We select high quality natural fiber lead-free wicks, made of cotton and unbleached paper. Our tins are recyclable and our glass may be reused by cleaning with hot soapy water. Our cooler cleaner longer burning candles provide a natural way of making light!

Hand-Poured Soaps Our luxurious hand-poured soaps are the old-fashioned kind; saponified oils of olive, palm and coconut. We use the time honored “Cold Process Method.” Reduced water content delivers a harder, longer lasting, more concentrated bar. Our soap takes 4-6 weeks to cure, allowing the glycerin and the correct ph level to develop naturally. The soap, rich in emollient glycerin, olive, palm and coconut oils, cleans and moisturizes the skin. The soaps are "paper sack wrapped" with your logo labelled on the package.

Products - Paraffin vs. Soy

Paraffin Candles

Health Concerns Paraffin candles contain petroleum by product that has actually been shown to be toxic and carcinogenic. In fact, paraffin candles are believed to be as dangerous, when burned, as second hand tobacco smoke i . These may lead to increased risk of cancer, neurological and behavioral deficits and acute aggravation of existing respiratory diseases such as asthma. Emissions in the home are estimated to stick around for up to 10 hours after extinguishing a candle. Some paraffin candles may still even use lead wicks. Environmental Concerns Paraffin is the final residue left from refining crude oil. The oil industries make a healthy profit from its use with cosmetics and candles. Paraffin wax is a non-renewable resource. Once all the crude oil is gone, we will not have any more. Paraffin burns more quickly and hotter than most waxes creating more concern for fire hazards than necessary. Because it is oil-based, paraffin wax spills do not clean up easily.

In 2000, Perley Beairsto and Les Falconer, two businessmen in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada decided to venture into an innovative business together. This new business was founded on the fundamental principles of providing employment opportunities to adults whose access to the workforce is often limited and of employing human labor rather than expensive machinery. Perley and Les wanted to move closer to sustainability rather than further from it by manufacturing products that are more environmentally friendly, and wanted to promote sustainable corporate practices which bring light to the future by using raw ingredients sourced as close to the earth as possible. Initially, the product was a line of soy wax candles manufactured under the corporate name of Burnt Out Solutions Inc. Soy wax candles deliver long burn times, clean and complete burns, good scent through, exceptional quality and value. Soy and Natural waxes are renewable resources, and do not contain harmful petrochemicals. Using soy wax, palm wax, beeswax, and other natural waxes and oils, Burnt Out Solutions Inc. developed superior natural wax blends. All of our candles have lead-free, high quality cotton and unbleached paper wicks. Perley & Les realized that soaps are a great complement to candles. They decided to

make soaps the “old-fashioned way” in order to create high-quality, all-natural products for their customers. Soon customers recognized the superior quality of the soaps and began asking for other body care products. This was the start of a natural evolution…..first came soy candles, then came soaps, then from soaps to lip balms, from lip balms to body balms, from body balms to salt scrubs, and then Sólas Naturals was born.

Sólas Naturals considers the whole picture: from where the raw materials come from, to the quality of the ingredients, how the products are made and the people who make them. This includes how the products are tested (never on animals), how they are packaged, shipped, and how they are used. When possible Sólas Naturals sources local and organic raw ingredients and utilizes the specialized packaging services of 2 local adult workshops, the Package Mill and the Plank & Hammer. This helps to build a strong local community and economy.
