The Times of India Survey 2016
The school in a recently concluded Times of India : Survey-2016 ranked
amongst the top 10 schools of Noida and Gr. Noida schools.
Education World : Indian School Ranking 2016
The Education World, Indian School Ranking based mostly upon the public
perception, rated and ranked the school at 104th position amongst the
leading 17,300 CBSE schools of the country.
ACADEMICS
Round-II / Formative-II
Round-II for the Primary School commenced on 26 July, 2016 and
concluded on 14 Sep, 2016. Formative-II for Classes VI-X began on
11 Jul, 2016 and concluded on 29 Aug, 2016. For Class XI, Round-II
commenced on 01 Aug, 2016 and concluded on 29 Aug, 2016 and for Class
XII began on 11 Jul, 2016 and concluded on 08 Aug, 2016.
PTM for Mont-I to Cl XII was held on 01 Oct, 2016. Attendance of the
Parents was about 90%.
Summative-I / Half Yearly
For Cls VI – XII the examination commenced on 09 Sep, 16 and concluded
on 23 Sep, 16.

Monthly AssignmentsCls I – XII were given assignments for each of the months of
August, September and Oct, 2016.
Centre for Scholastic Integration
Students enrolled with CFSI from Cls VI-XII appeared for
Summative-I Examination which commenced on 09 Sep, 2016.
The results of the examination held were discussed with the
parents of these special children and Individualized Education
Plan (IEP’s) were handed over to them on 01 Oct, 2016 during PTM.
Inter school Inclusive Swimming Competition was held at Step
By Step School, Noida on 24 Aug, 2016 wherein Danish (III) and
Chirag Arora (VIII) bagged the gold and Saral (V) bagged the
silver medal.

In 2010 the Centre appointed 2 Special Educators
In 2011 name changed to Centre for Scholastic Integration.

INSPIRE: Interschool Event for differently abled

Keeping alive the vision of the schoolwhich is to help every individual realizehis/her true potentials and to developcognitive, affective and psychomotor skillswhich are the essence of holistic growth ofevery child. Every year Bal Bharati PublicSchool, Noida organizes an interschoolevent for children with special needswhich was named, ‘INSPIRE’. The event isheld, to raise awareness towards disabilityand to empower children with physical,socio-emotional and cognitive limitation bycelebrating and recognizing their talentsand abilities through various art, craft andlinguistic competitions.
SUCCESS STORIES
1. Danish Rawat (ASD) bagged gold medal in Step By Step School , Noida in interschool
swimming competition held for the specially abled.
2. Saral and Chirag Arora (LD)participated in CBSE National Swimming competition held at
Bhopal and won silver medals.
3. Rekha a visually impaired student participated in computer typing competition held at
Saksham School a NGO for the visually Impaired and secured first position.
4. Durgesh a student with visual impairment came first in poem recitation competition INSPIRE-
2016 held at BBPS noida.
5. Lavanya and Aadya children with learning disability also participated in INSPIRE-2016 and
secured first place in essentials of a travel bag.
1. Aeshaan Mehta diagnosed with Autism passed out with a credible 81%
in class XII AISSCE 2012-13 Examination. He pursued a diploma in
Animation and is currently working with AIMS media creating
animation in their monthly newsletter.
2. Shrey Bhatnagar Diagnosed with Learning Disability and Heamophilia.
Secured 90 % marks in class XII Board examination in the year 2014-
15. Presently he is pursuing his bachelors from Delhi University.
3. Krishna Kaul diagnosed with Dyslexia and Autism achieved 95% marks
in mathematics. He is currently pursuing his bachelors from SRM
University, Harayana.

INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Making Peace Pledge: A Global Competition
The School was one of the 16 schools short listed for the Best Entries
among the 46 schools across the globe in making Peace Pledge
Competition. Approximately 700 students were involved in writing the
pledge, making the video and designing the peace poster. A short
programme was conducted in the school auditorium where the pledge was
taken by the students. The objective was to sensitise the young learners
to this important realization about peace being the only option left to
humanity for sustenance and development.

ASTRONOMY CLUB
A session on ‘Comets and Asteroids’ was conducted on 19 Aug,
16 wherein an activity on Cooking a Comet was carried out
using soil, soya sauce, ammonia and dry ice.
A session on Astronomer’s Tools (Club Kit) A Grid in the Sky: Celestial Coordinate
System Creating a Sky Map was conducted on 30 Sep, 16. Members were familiarized
with the Kit materials and their working. They identified the purpose of the material
and how it aids in pursuing science. Understanding the concept of coordinates in our
celestial system was emphasized. Identifying reference techniques to locate objects
in space and creating a celestial grid and a sky map were explained. Students
constructed a Sky Map for both the hemispheres based on the understanding of
celestial grid.

Club celebrated the largest public space
event-World Space Week from 04 to 10

Hydro rocket & Launching of Hydro rockets was conducted on 28 Oct, 16.
Session on Directions in Daytime: finding cardinal directions & Project Paridhi
: Measuring Earth’s Circumference was conducted on 05 Nov, 16. Students
recreated the Eratosthenes Experiment and calculated the circumference of
the Earth. They also learnt the ways to conduct Project Paridhi for science
popularization.
ENVIRONMENT CLUB
22nd International Day for Preservation of Ozone was celebrated
enthusiastically on 03 Oct, 16 by hosting a number of competitions like
Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Debate and Power Point Presentation
under the aegis of CBSE.
The Environment Club held its ANTI-CRACKER CAMPAIGN from 15 to 30 Oct, 16
with the following activities held in school.
NUKKAD NATAKTo spread mass awareness about celebrating Green Deepawali, a Nukkad Natak
was performed by the students of Classes IV – VIII at Great India Place Mall on
26 Oct, 2016. It received accolades from public as well parent fraternity.

Children were given a free hand to write their views and opinion as well
as green practices followed by them to protect Mother Nature.
ANTI-CRACKER CAMPAIGN RALLY
Students from Cls IX & X participated in Anti-Cracker Campaign rally on
27 Oct, 16 with the aim of spreading public awareness. Local
Newspapers and the leading National dailies covered the event.

Health &WellnessClub
• Keeping in view of the recent outbreak of
Dengue and Chikungunya, a wall Graffiti
was prepared to spread awareness on
causes, treatment & prevention. It was
displayed at all prominent locations in
the school campus.
• An interactive workshop on
‘Chikungunya’ was conducted for Classes
IX and X in school auditorium on 26 Sep,
16. Different case studies were shared
by Dr. Ruby Bansal from Max Hospital,
Vaishali. ‘Don’t Panic’ ‘Act Wisely’ wasthe carry home message.
• A multi specialty health camp was organized for Parents and Grand Parents
on 01 Oct, 16 in collaboration with Max Super Specialty Hospital, Vaishali. A
Physician and Specialists from Cardiology and Orthopedic Department
provided free Consultation. A team of technicians conducted free of cost
ECG, Blood Pressure, Random Blood sugar and BMD-Bone Mineral Density
test for all in the Medical room of the school. It was heartwarming to see
the parent fraternity getting benefitted and becoming health conscious.
• With an aim of “Making Smiles Beautiful” an interactive session regarding
‘Dental Health and Proper Brushing Techniques’ was held in the school
auditorium on 22 Sep, 16 for the students of Classes I - V. It was followed by
Dental Check up by Dr. Jaspreet Khurana and team of Doctors from Neo
Hospital, Noida to check for early warning signs of decay and orthodontic
problems in students.

CLUB
INTERACT CLUBInteract Club members of the school visited Sorkha and Basai Village
on 28 Oct, 2016. To commemorate the spirit of joy of giving and
Deepawali, gift hampers were distributed among the students of the
Govt School. Small workshops briefing students about Health,
Sanitation and Swacch Bharat Abhiyan were also conducted.
• Joy of Giving Week ‘Dil Ki Suno, Kuch Karo’ Daan Utsav, a unique, annual
‘Festival of Giving’ is celebrated every year in India that commences on Gandhi
Jayanti i.e 02 October. It brings forth a beautiful feeling of being able to share
your blessings with the less fortunate.
• Bal Bharati Public School, Noida joined hands with ‘Goonj’, an NGO to bring
about positive changes in the society and thereby instilling a feeling of sharing
and caring amongst its students. Activities like ‘Meri Mitti Ki Gullak’, ‘Mera
Janam Din’, ‘Mera Tohfa’, ‘Neki Ka Iraada’ & ‘Meter of Cloth’ were conducted
for the students.
OPEN EXAMS
• ANCQ-2016 (Australian National Chemistry Quiz) organized by the
Royal Australian Chemistry Institute was held on 23 Aug, 16 where in a
total of 49 students from Cls VII-XII participated. Result is awaited.
• 16th NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) organized by the SOF (Science
Olympiad Foundation) was conducted in the school premises on 20 Oct
2016. A total of 41 students from Cls III-X participated. Result is awaited.
• NTSE (NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION-2015), the most
prestigious examination conducted by the NCERT was held on 06 Nov,16,
where in 33 students from Cl X participated, the result of which is
awaited.

GOOGLE INDIA CODE TO LEARN CONTESTOnline entries were invited for the “Google
India Code to Learn Contest” in the month of
August wherein the students had to submit a
project in the form of stories, games, cartoons
or any other imaginative or creative form of
expression.
A total of 800 entries were received by Google
from all over India. Rishabh Singhal (X) was
declared the All India Winner in the category of
Class IX & X. He designed a game using the
software “Scratch”. It is worth mentioning that
there are only 03 winners all over India in this
category.

ATAL INNOVATION MISSION
The school was shortlisted for the next and final round in the selection process for
the establishment of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) in school, an initiative under
the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India. The School
participated in the ATL Innovation Challenge on 05 Nov, 16 wherein a team of
teachers and students show cased solutions for the identified challenges. Result of
the final round is awaited.
• Nitya Garg (IV) proudly bagged a position among the first fifteen
painters in a national level Online Painting Competition ‘Japan on
Canvas 2016’ organized by ‘Experience Japan’ in October, 2016. A total
of 1521 students participated from all over the country. The top thirty
paintings have been exhibited at Tanshin Okukura Gallery, The Japan
Foundation, 5A , Ring Road, Lajpat Nagar IV, New Delhi.

BEST PRACTICES
Bal Bharati Public School, Noida appealed to its parent fraternity to give impetus
to the handloom sector by using more and more Khadi/Handloom products in
daily lives. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, students from Classes I to XII were
allowed to wear Khadi costumes to the school on all working days between 03
Oct, 16 and 30 Oct, 16 in order to promote the cause of Handloom weavers of the
country. The response from the staff as well as student community was
overwhelming.

Parent Advocacy WorkshopA workshop on “Healthy Kids” was organized on 16 Sep, 16 in the school
Auditorium for the Pre Primary Parents. The Resource person for the day
was Mrs. Rashmi Bhatia, Dietician, VIMHANS Hospital, Delhi. She discussed
different ways to make the tiffin attractive as well as nutritive. She
encouraged the parents not to rely much on packaged food, instead try
cooking something innovatively and present it in an attractive way to children.
NIE Workshop
Under the aegis of NIE, a Magic Show was conducted by Magician Deepak
for the students of Classes I to III on 29 Sep, 16.

Independence Day
A special assembly was held on the occasion of Independence Day by
the students of TAGORE HOUSE.
Annual English Play
The Annual English Play ‘Oliver Twist’ was staged on 03 Sep, 16 by the Primary &
Middle School students in the School Auditorium. Shri Sandeep Marwah, Director,
Asian Academy of film and Television was the Chief Guest. Shri Anmol Sahdev of
‘Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai…..” fame graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Shri Nikhil Channa, Chairman, BBPS, Noida and other luminaries added glory to the
occasion.
Teacher’s DayTo mark the occasion, a special programme was organized by the
Prefectorial Board on 05 Sep, 16. This was followed by a much deserved
chilled out day at Spice Cinemas, where the teachers watched the movie
“Happy Bhaag Jayegi” followed by a sumptuous lunch at Legends Grills.
Primary and Senior School celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14 Sep, 16. Garvit Mishra (V)
was awarded a sum of Rs.5000/- for winning Kavyalaya and Aneek Kumar (IV) was
a given a trophy for being the Runners Up. An Exhibition of books in the school
premises was held by National Book Trust on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

Career Fair 2016Career Fair 2016 was organised by the Career Counseling Cell of Bal Bharati
Public School, Noida in collaboration with Ashoka University, Shiv Nadar University,

CLOSURE OF SWIMMING POOL
The Swimming classes for the session 2016-17
were suspended on 15 Nov, 2016 due to change

The general discipline in the school has been satisfactory. No
untoward incident either among the students or the staff was

Both the Safai Karamcharis as well as the agency workers are
doing their work satisfactorily.

• The Library is also being used as a Learning Resource Centre to cater to the
needs of staff and students. The resource material has been organized for

internet access, CD ROMS and other Electronic Resources.
• Mrs Abha Bhardwaj, Sr Librarian and a Committee of teachers visited
International Book Fair organized by National Book Trust at Exhibition
grounds in Greater Noida on 17 Sep, 16. The visit exposed the teachers to a
great variety of books.
Video conference (Library Task Force)
Under the aegis of Library Task Force, Students

Discussion Competition hosted by BBPS, Rohini
on 01 Oct, 16 on the Book “The Five People You
Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albolm. BBPS Noida
won the II Prize.
Next Book Discussion in the series was
conducted by BBPS, Noida on 15 Oct,16.
Students of Classes XI and XII participated in
the discussion on the Book “The Palace of
Illusion” by Chitra Divakaruni Banerjee. BBPS,
Noida won the II Prize.
School Transport
Presently 11 routes of Primary and Senior School and 4 Routes of the
Montessori Wing are operational, out of which 9 routes operate in and
around Noida and 01 each on Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and Delhi stretch.
The Supreme Court and STA guidelines are being followed.
FINANCE
The financial health of the school is satisfactory. The Seventh Pay
Commission has been accepted by Govt. of India and is to be
implemented w.e.f. 01 Jan, 2016. Its implications in the school
finance has two components, namely recurring and arrears.
Features of Pay & Perks which contribute directly to the recurring
establishment cost, include increased salary, HRA, Transport
Allowance, LTC, Gratuity and Bonus. Over and above, the Maternity
Leave of 180 days and Child Care Leave have a significant impact
on school liability.
The school is working out on the total liability cost.

All the suggestions made from time to time are discussed and
implemented to the best of ability.

his report, Alert area’s have been identified, Estimates have been
obtained and work is to commence shortly.
PTA MEETING
The PTA Body of the school interacts on a regular basis and their
suggestions are received by the school from time to time. Through PTA
Funds, genuine and needy parents are in the process of shortlisting for
assistance to pay the pending school dues.
Weekly Faculty Meetings with Class Representatives, House Wardens, Head
of the Departments and Staff Meetings (on monthly basis) are being held on
a regular basis. The records of all the meetings are minuted in the proper
Minutes Register as well as released on the teacher portal for reading
purposes.
MEETING WITH STAFF
I would like to put on record my deep sense of appreciation for the staff
who work selflessly and ensure that the school graph is on the rise. The
constant guidance from the members of the Managing Committee plays a
major role.
I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman,
Secretary and all erudite members of the Managing Committee for their
