Photo Shoot

These are images is took for my magazine some of them are taken in the studio and some are taken at home. There are a variety of image shots, long shots close up profile and there are some photo shopped images I have they have been sorted out into categories according to set, and photo shopped images.

These Images were taken at home using my sister as a model; we had limited props so we had to make to with clothes and hair being the main part of the image we put effort into.

Image number four might suite my genre of music/magazine the black and white editing I have done makes the image edgy and gives it a classic feel. Number 8 is also good and might be good for a smaller image but I do not think that either of these images will be good as a main image for the front cover. Number 11 is a good image but not for my front cover it would suit the theme I think I might use this image as a thumbnail for minor image of the contents page as I think it goes with my theme. Image 12 I think would make the best front cover image the serious expression suites the theme and music genre my magazine is based on. Image 15 is also a good front cover image it would

show the insane or rebellious side of this music genre the only problem is that the image is pixelated this could be fixed with some photo editing but if it doesn’t look good as a the front cover main image it could be a small or minor image for the front cover or contents page. Image 18 is good because it shows a band that suits the genre of music it would be a good minor image. Images 19 would be a good double page spread image as the right side is plain this would make it easier to put font on the page without colours clashing. Image 20 would be a good minor image the pose and style might be good and representative of this music genre.

Studio

These images were taken at the studio at school, using various class mates as models as well as myself in some images. Some of them turned out to be blurry but we had more access to props and other thing to make the image appear more professional.

Although these images are good quality and the lighting is better I do not think that they represent the genre of music have chosen to go with there are a few like number 2 might look appropriate for this type of magazine the out of focus face might represent the music well and the fist might be symbolic of or associated with rock music. The models do not suit this genre of music the costume and set are not ideal for this magazine genre or the music genre.
