PROJECT TOPIC The topic of my study was “Need analysis and Promotion of Security

products(video door phone, CCTV and Burglar alarm system) for SMB’s (Small and Medium Businesses)” 

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY• To study the level of prospect customers of the electronic security

system and the need of security in the small and medium

businesses.

• To know about the popularity of electronic security equipment in the

market.

FINDINGS

• A large number of SME’s are using security equipments and many

of them have heard about the Godrej range of security products.

• Majority of the respondents in the survey were found reluctant in

providing details to us.

• Existing customers of Godrej are satisfied with after-sales services ,with few exceptions.

• Customer thinks that brand name of the company can influence their 

purchase decisions.

• Most of the respondents were not much aware of all the security

products of Godrej .• Respondents think that only manpower is not sufficient to provide

them 100% security.

• SME’s where Godrej products are installed were mostly satisfied

with the performance of the product.

• Many respondents were aware of the inbound and outbound

security measures they have to take to secure themselves.

• Sales Representatives and advertisements in Newspaper are thebest source to bring into light these Godrej security products.

• Most of the respondents are reluctant in purchase due to the higher 

price of the devices in comparison to the local available alternatives.

• Most of the respondents were unaware of the limitations or benefit of 

Video door phone and Burglar alarm system.

RECOMMENDATIONS• The Company should advertise its Security equipment in order to make

customer aware about security solution

• Today, Price based competition is skyrocketing so if  it’s possible Companyshould cut down its prices

• Order placement to be accurate and on time , so the there is no delay in

product delivery

• The sales & marketing officer of the company should regular visit to these

places so they can easily get the requirement of the customer regardingsecurity solution.

• Company should promote its security equipment through canopy.

• Company should do mall activities once in a week because it is

necessary to promote the high involvement security product

• They should also start some promotional schemes for the retailers• The company should try to focus on particular product for the particular 

industry or organization to cater their need in a better way

• There should be improvement in advertising and sales promotion activities

at different market levels to improve needs

• Try to minimize the selling price as most of the customer demanded it

• Up gradation of quality of the products would also result in higher sales

LIMITATIONS

• In the particular research the study duration was limited to time of a

few weeks, so having a limited time span of work on that project.

• Some time the costumer does not reveal the correct information

so biases come. The life of the people in metropolitan cities is running so

fast. They don’t have much time to give reply. 

• The administrator or security in charge of target places are not easilyprepared to tell about the security information which they using.

• This fieldwork is confined to a single city JAIPUR only therefore study

does not reveal the exact market condition.

• Mostly people are not much aware about the advanced security equipment.

• Human error is unavoidable.• Research was limited within three cities

• People were not providing exact data as per the questionnaire ( reluctant to

give information)

• Some part of the survey was telephonic which did not provide appropriate

data.
