Les catégories grammaticales
Las categorías gramaticales son las
diferentes clases de palabras como el
sustantivo, pronombre, adverbio, adjetivo,
conjunción, interjección y preposición; que
se utilizan en una lengua para lograr una
buena comunicación ya sea de forma oral o
escrita. Las reglas gramaticales ayudan a
conocer y definir como se habla y se escribe
correctamente.
English grammar consists on a set of rules
that helps to guide the use of correctly
written and spoken english. It helps you to
put your thoughts in order to later express it.
Grammar in both languages is a guide to use
the language in a correct way. It focuses on
the function of every grammatical category
like the subject, the verb and the adjective.
El sustantivo es una categoría gramatical que sirve para nombrar a todo tipo de sujeto u objeto.El sustantivo es también conocido como el nombre, justamente porque su función es nombrar a distintos seres.
Clasificación: propios, comunes, abstractos, concretos, contables, individuales, colectivos, derivados y primitivos.
A noun is a word that represents a person, a place, or a thing. A thing in this definition can be a physical entity or it can be an abstract idea.
A noun may be used as a subject of a sentence, as a direct object, as an indirect object, or it may be used as the object of a preposition.
Classification: Proper, Common, Countable, Uncountable, Collective, Concrete, Abstract, Pronouns.

El adjetivo es un tipo de palabra que califica o determina al sustantivo, expresan propiedades atribuidas, especificándolas o resaltándolas.
Los adjetivos modifican a los sustantivos y pronombres.
Ofrecen información esencial de qué tipo, cuál y cuántos.
Su función es tan importante que los sustantivos, pronombres y verbos comúnmente se utilizan como adjetivos.
Según su ubicación en una oración, los adjetivos adquieren diferentes funciones gramaticales, como:
Modificadores del sustantivo
Adjetivos predicados
Complementos objetivos
Adjetivo calificativo: Su función es señalar las cualidades de un sustantivo
Adjetivo demostrativo: Su función es señalar de que objeto, persona o animal se está hablando.
Adjetivo posesivo: Señala a quien pertenece el animal, persona o cosa.
Adjectives help to give a clear picture of the object you are talking about.
An adjective is a word that modifies a noun or a pronoun.
Adjectives can take a modifying word before them.
In most cases, the comparative is formed by adding -er, and the superlative is formed by adding -est, to the absolute form.
Some adjectives form the comparative and superlative using more and most respectively
Adjectives also take different forms to indicate their position on a scale of comparison.
The different functions of the adjectives are:
Describe feelings or qualities
Give nationality or origin
Tell more about a thing's characteristics
Express a judgment or a value
Sound,Opinion , Personality AppearanceFeelings
Moods Condition Taste Cooking
Age Weather Temperature
Size, etc.
Calificativo:
Manuel es muy amable.
Posesivo:
El juguete que esta en la mesa es mio.
Demostrativo:
Este libro y aquel son de Rosa.
Emotion:
John is very jolly whenhe’s in school.

Es una palabra que tiene la función sintáctica de modificar verbos,
adverbios o adjetivos.
Clasificación: Tiempo, lugar, modo, cantidad, orden, afirmación, negación, interrogación, duda, comparativos, causa.
Are words that modify verbs, adverbs or adjectives.
Most adverbs are formed by adding ly to adjectives.
Types of adverbs:
Time, place, manner, degree, frequency
Ejemplos: Siempre se porta mal
Los zapatos están debajode la mesa
Difícilmente lo conseguirá sin esfuerzo
Me gustó todo

Es una palabra que relaciona los elementos de una oración. No tienen género ni número. Establecen relaciones dependientes.
Su presencia es indispensable para el sentido de la oración.
Función: relacionar palabras como un sustantivo, pronombre, adjetivo, verbo o adverbio con su complemento.
Clasificación: de lugar, de tiempo, de causa, de finalidad, de compañía, de instrumentación y de modo.
Is a Word that shows the relationship
between a noun or pronoun and other
words in a sentence.
Words like about, around, below,
inside and through are prepositions.
The preposition indicates a noun or
pronoun's relationship with the other
sentence elements in regards to time
and space.
Function: Semantically their role is to
define relationships between the
words they link.
Classification: Prepositions and
expressions of time: while, during,
until, by, in time, on time, by the
time.
Prepositions of place: in, on, at,
among, between, near, next to, by,
beside, above, over, under, below.
Ejemplos: Botella de cristal;
mesa de madera; café con leche; lejos de aquí; loco de atar; voy hacia París.
A, ante, bajo, con, contra, de, desde, durante, en, entre, hacia, hasta, mediante, para, por, según, sin, sobre, tras.
Examples: I´ll stay until 11:30. I listen music while
I´m studying. What is in the box?Hang the picture on
the wall. See you at the bus
stop.
CONJUNCIÓN
Una conjunción es una palabra o conjunto de ellas que enlaza proposiciones, sintagmas o palabras.
Es una palabra cuya función es servir de enlace entre palabras, sintagmas u oraciones.
CLASIFICACIÓN:
Copulativas, Adversativas. , Disyuntivas, Causales, Condicionales, Concesivas, Comparativas, Consecutivas, Temporales y Finales.
FUNCIÓN:
unen dos partes de una oración
pueden conectar sólo palabras
pueden conectar dos cláusulas
unen una cláusula dependiente y una cláusula independiente
CARACTERÍSTICAS:
Son siempre palabras átonas.
No pueden ser sujetos, ni complementos, ni atributos.
Sirven para relacionar unas palabras con otras.
generalmente son palabras cortas
CONJUCTION
are words that are used to join or link
other words, phrases, or clauses.
CLASSIFICATION: co-ordinate, correlative,
subordinate, independent, phrasal and
conjunctives.
Function:
are used to join two parts of a sentence
that are grammatically equal.
used to join a subordinate dependent
clause to a main clause
connects two independent clauses.
establishes the relationship between the
dependent clause and the rest of the
sentence
CHARACTERISTICS:
usually come at the beginning of the
subordinate clause
always come between the words or clauses
that they join
it is often (but not always) accompanied by
a comma
Ejemplos:
Yo canto y bailo.
Es un libro corto,

Examples:
I ate the pizza and
the pasta.

Definición: Son palabras que señalan o sustituyen a otras que normalmente ya se han nombrado antes.
Características:
Substituyente de los sustantivos.
Facilitan la expresión lingüística al evitar repetir los sustantivos.
Concuerdan en género y número con el sustantivo al cual remplazan.
Función: la función principal del pronombre es la de sustituir al nombre o de hacer referencia de él.
Clasificación: personales, demostrativos, posesivos, indefinidos, relativos, determinativos, exclamativos, numerales definidos o indefinidos.

Characteristics: One of the most common pronouns is it.
They can be fem., masc., or neuter.
Function: They are used instead of nouns to prevent repetition of the noun to which they refer. It can be used as a subject, object or complement in a sentence.
Classification: subject, object and possessive.
Subject pronouns are used when the pronoun is the subject of the sentence, to rename the subject, it follows to be verbs.
Object pronouns are used everywhere else (direct object, indirect object, object of the preposition). O.P.: are me, you, him, her, it, us, and them.
Possessive pronouns show ownership and never need apostrophes (mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs).
Ejemplos:
Tú eres muy responsable.
Alguien irá a la casa de Raúl.
El estudiante terminó su tarea.
Se abrió el centro comercial.
Ése perro es mío.
Examples:
I did the job.
It is he.
Jean talked to him.
Definición: La Interjección es una palabra cuya función es expresar sentimientos muy vivos tales como: asombro, alegría, emoción, admiración, alarma, asco, miedo, etc.
Generalmente están acompañadas de signos de exclamación.
Se comportan como oraciones independientes con significado completo.
Se usan aisladamente como expresiones independientes.
No tienen genero ni numero. Función: su función es expresar
sentimientos o exclamaciones dentro de la oración.
Clasificación Interjecciones Propias:
Interjecciones Impropias, Locuciones Interjectivas, Imitativa: apelativa, Formularias!
Interjections are words that are used to express strong feelings or sudden emotion.
Characteristics: They have no grammatical relation to any word or group of words in the sentence.
In grammar these words are called independent elements.
Nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and other parts of speech are often used as interjections.
Some of the interjections are not even words.
Function: they are used to express feelings o emotions into the sentence.
Classification: there is no classification.
Ejemplos:
¡Dios mío! ¿Qué es eso?
¡zas! se cayó.
¡ojalá! Puedas venir a la fiesta.
¡Cuidado! El niño se va a caer.
¡Bravo! Es una obra maestra.
Examples:
Heavens! I cut my finger.
Good! I’m glad to hear that.
Horrors! Look at that hat.
Whew! What a day.
Um! This soup tastes good.
