Three-year Olds will focus mainly on developing social activities such as learning to play with other children; sharing and kindness; putting toys and supplies in their places; listening and following directions; learning school routines and behaviors; and regular practice of age-appropriate cognitive activities, along with fine and gross motor skill development.
Four-year Olds will focus more time on cognitive developmental activities such as colors, shapes, numbers, letters, calendar and seasons, matching and classifying. The hands-on approach continues at this level, nurturing thinking and creativity while developing fine motors skills. Gross motor skill development involves more active gymnasium time, dramatic play centers and music centered activities for the children.
Pre-Kindergarten children will spend more time building upon the foundation that has been put into place by their previous preschool experience. They will work on increasing depth of cognitive skills in reading, writing, and math. They will be fundamentally prepared to enter Kindergarten.

Our Programs
At Saint Mary Preschool, our goal is to provide a creative learning
environment that centers on our Catholic love and respect for one another. Our program focuses on
developing learning experiences and play activities that encourage social,
spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development
of each child.
St Mary Preschool promotes the development of working together and sharing by using individual responsibility through free play;
music; art; stories; crafts; dramatic play; and age-appropriate cognitive, fine motor and gross motor skills.
Our curriculum was developed using the “hands-on” approach to learning through specific learning centers.
Multi-sensory activities that enhance the total development of
the child are planned in a sequential manner that follows a theme or is part of a unit. The daily schedule includes both quiet and active play, as well as individual, small group
and large group activities.

Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.
