Charlotte Sauter
About me
Previous education: International Hotel Management at the NHTV in Breda
Last year: Premaster Organization Studies
Currently: Master Organization Studies
Choosing Organization Studies
■ It’s an unique program!
■ You develop an interdisciplinary perspective
■ ‘’The human side of business’’
■ Practical experience
■ Thesis circles
■ Personal atmosphere at Tilburg University
My struggles & misconceptions
1. ‘’The transition from ’’HBO’’ to university level is too hard’’
Wrong!
Yes, it’s hard work – but it’s also fun, challenging and rewarding.
2. ‘’Studying in English is impossible’’
Wrong!
It takes some adaption – but if you put in an effort and dare to step up, you’ll be fine.
3. ‘’University education is very unpersonal’’
Wrong!
Lectures are of personal & interactive nature, lecturers don’t bite
4. ‘’When you study at the university you’ll have no more time for a social life!’’
Wrong!
Very wrong – I’ve been an active member of study association POLIS, have time for a part-
time job and enough time for friends & beers…
