Pre and post operation patients.
Nurses and CNA’s working together.› Both check on patients, but CNA’s have
less patients and are unable to administer certain medical care.
Medical/Surgical Floor
Total knee and hip replacements. Appendix removal. Pneumonia. C-diff.
P.P.E
Personal Protective Equipment Used to prevent the spread of illness to
medical workers.› Mask› Gloves› Gown
Mother/Baby Unit
Postpartum (after having a baby) care of both Mother and Baby.
Nursery. Labor. Nurses, CNA’s, and
OBGYN’s.
Cesarean Section
The baby is delivered through a cut in the uterus.
Much more sedation. More pain medication. Longer hospital stay.
Vitals
Temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure.
Post operation- every two hours. Babies- every two hours. Mothers- every six hours. C-section- every four hours.
