Kate Vitasek Faculty, Graduate & Executive Education, University of Tennessee
Kate Vitasek is an international authority for her award-winning research and
Vested® business model for highly collaborative relationships. Author of six
books and a Faculty member at the University of Tennessee, she has been
lauded by World Trade Magazine as one of the “Fabulous 50+1” most influen-
tial people impacting global commerce. Vitasek has been featured on CNN
International, Bloomberg, NPR, and on Fox Business News. Her work has also
been featured in over 300 articles.
Brian K. McCarthy Senior Instructor and Executive Coach, Portland State University
As a member of the full-time faculty in the Portland State University Graduate
School of Business, Brian McCarthy teaches Leadership Development and
serves as Executive Coach in the MS Global Supply Chain and MBA programs.
He also teaches Business Communications, Global Marketing, and Selling and
Sales Leadership. He has received the Oregon Executive MBA Teaching
Excellence Award nine times. Outside of the university, Brian serves as an
Executive Coach for high potential mid-career professionals.
Hans Melotte Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain, Starbucks
Hans Melotte is responsible for Starbucks end-to-end supply chain, as well as
quality and food safety operations globally. He plays a critical role in driving the
supply chain agenda across the business and leading ongoing efforts to create
a scalable and agile function that enables long-term growth for Starbucks.
Hans was named as one of the Top 10 Most Influential and Thought Leader
CPOs in the United States in 2013 and was honored as the Procurement
Leader of the Year in 2010.
Fannie Boulanger Vice President, Global Procurement, Oath
Verizon combined Yahoo’s assets with AOL to create a new subsidiary, Oath.
Fannie Boulanger leads Oath’s Global Procurement group and is responsible
for managing more than $1 billion in indirect spend. Her team is accountable
for Oath’s procurement governance and process controls. Prior to Oath,
Fannie spent ten years in various procurement roles within the tech industry at
Microsoft in Paris, Seattle and Sao Paulo, Brazil, as well as Adobe and Yahoo.

60– to 90-minute guided walking tour throughout PACCAR’s Renton facility,

completion, as the truck drives off the end of the production line.
