Keeping COLLABORATION at the core of the 2nd Annual EV India Summit, the event brought together over 250+ Participants; 31 Speakers and
12 Sponsors to debate, determine and strategize the collaborative approach for EV Success in India.
Continuing on the success of the rst Annual EV India Summit and the EV India Charging Station, the 2nd Annual EV India Summit was organised in
Delhi from 25th to 27th February 2019 at the Holiday Inn Hotel, New Delhi.
Having brought together more than 600+ EV enthusiasts in the 2018 events, the 2nd Annual EV India Summit was conceptualised based on the
current market situation and the feedbacks received. The subject called Electric Vehicles is under discussion for more than 5 years, however it had not
yielded the expected results yet, which was primarily due to limited to no collaboration between the public and the private enterprises. Based on our
research, 90% of projects succeed due to successful collaboration between the public and private enterprises.
Hence, after gaining a complete understanding on the current challenges in the EV market in India, the program for the 2nd Annual EV India Summit
was developed revolving around the theme “ELECTRIFYING INDIAN MOBILITY THROUGH A COMPREHENSIVE AND CUMULATIVE
COLLABORATION”.
Charging Infrastructure - The core of EV, where is the lag and how are we pulling up our pitfalls?
• Mr. Abhijeet Sinha, Additional Charge of Project Director #NHforEV2020, EODB Division of ASSAR
Electric Vehicle initiatives in Andhra Pradesh
Considering the momentum for EV cannot be driven by a single person/enterprise, the 2nd Annual EV Summit introduced topics such as but not
limited to:
• Dr. Sajid Mubashir, Scientist G, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India
• Mr. J Krishna Kishore, CEO, Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB)
• Er. Alekhya Datta, Fellow & Area Convenor, Electricity & Fuels Division, The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI)
• Ms. Bhavna Saxena, Special Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB)
National Highway for Electric Vehicles by 2020 (As per Power Ministry Guideline)
• Mr. Pankaj Batra, EX - Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (CEA)
Economics of owning an EV
Apart from the collaboration missing among the EV Fraternity, adoption was the most integral aspect, hence for the rst time in India, we had one full
day dedicated for workshops which brought together over 100+ attendees for subjects such as:
Consisting of 3 days business gathering, the 2nd Annual EV India Summit ensured to focus on the most critical elements and helped the 250+
participants walk away with the right strategy to be implemented.
• etting up Charging Infrastructure
• E-Mobility components under single window of EODB (Ease of Doing Business)• Skill development in EV - The Slits and Stitches
• Batteries - Innovation and Safety, going beyond Lithium
