This includes ensuring inter- departmental collaboration beyond individual portfolios. This role will lead communication and extensive external collaboration and business development activities with external stakeholders including, other legal organisations and Funding Bodies, to ensure successful implementation of this new program. Key Responsibilities Business Development and Stakeholder Engagement Play a key role in the development of a service model which addresses the unique requirements of this program including considerations of Aged Care and Legal practices related to Elder Abuse prevention. Develop a state-wide stakeholder engagement strategy to represent and advocate for the program. Manage all internal and external stakeholder relationships that are instrumental to the success of the Elder Abuse Prevention and Support Service Program. Lead and engage in activities that result in cross sector collaboration. Represent RAQ at all relevant industry panels, forums and meetings across QLD Initiate new partnerships and relationships to provide comprehensive referral services to clients. Promote the program to referral sources. Lead the coordination of regional stakeholder engagement initiatives and relationships delivered at a local level in consultation with Regional management. Effectively manage challenging relationships both internally and externally to develop best services for clients. Prepare papers and presentations that maintain RAQ at the forefront of professional practice in the program area. Community Education and Training Develop and implement educational and program activities which address priority issues and are targeted, appropriate and sustainable. Seek out external opportunities to provide educational community outreach to key external stakeholders. Coordinate training activities for the program, both internal and external stakeholders. Manage the delivery of activities to residential and community aged populations commissioned to external organisations.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have:

Required Highly Desired

Qualifications Undergraduate level qualifications in Social or Behavioural Science.

Postgraduate qualifications in Social or Behavioural Science.

Specialist Qualifications in the field of Elder Abuse Prevention.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Experience

A strong track record of program establishment and management

Demonstrated capacity to engage effectively with external stakeholders, specifically in the fields of Aged Care and Legal profession.

Previous delivery of community education activities and/or training.

Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, and understand contractual requirements.

Knowledge

A sound knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, particularly in relation to aged care.

Understanding of the requirements of project management including planning, execution and monitoring of deliverables.

Understanding of relevant legal service access pathways (and the associated stakeholder partnerships) available to the Queenslanders affected by Elder Abuse.
