About Us

Razum is a research and development studio focusing on delivering creative solutions to the most advanced software engineering challenges. We have successfully worked with big international cor-porations such as Hitachi for a Smart Home Energy Saving solution and Telargo Fleet Management Public Transport Web and Mobile Control Center, deployed world-wide (Hong Kong, USA and across EU) and have also been involved on some award-winning cutting edge startup ideas like Moject - mobile motion projection - and Oystar - a NFC based small business loyalty, awarded at the 1st NFC conference in Monaco.

In 2010 we founded Dawn of Play to dedicate a part of our team to developing games and have recently released the critically acclaimed Dream of Pixels.

The overwhelming response from the press culminated in the #1 spot on metacritic.com in November 2012 and together with stellar App Store reviews, we firmly established the Dawn of Play brand as a high quality game development studio. We also created a 1980s LCD Game&Watch style game Monkey Labour for iOS and Twinoo Brain Training for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. We are planning to release three new games in 2014: a puzzle adventure Roll Back Home, a spatial memory game Flip the Dice and an action game featuring cute Furries.

A series of dashboards for educating and informing end users about energy saving in their home developed for Hitachi. We designed and developed a complex Flash UI, integrated (via advanced javascript) with a backend database of energy measurements coming from smart wireless devices. Serial hardware device communication was developed as well to feed real measured data into the interface.

FIRE SAFETY TRAINING SIMULATOR

Client

Fire Extinguisher training involving actual fire, smoke and fire extinguishers are all often unpractical, weather-dependent and expensive to properly simulate and educate a large num-ber of people with effectively. We developed a simulation of extinguishing starting fires in an office using Kinect and some Computer Vision magic to track the hose with Xbox gamepads built into fire extinguishers. Fire starts in a 3d simulated office on a big screen - point the hose in the right direction - and extinguish the fire!
