ABOUT

My name is Vivienne and I’m am a creator in different creative fields.

My strength is: the design of commercial products or services that make everyday life just a little bit easier or more fun!Through my experience in various fields and academic subjects, I am broad-minded and therefore an allrounder. I have knowledge of both product design (from briefing to sales) while marketing strategy and corporate identity are not unknown to me either.

BLOCK FURNITUREThis piece of furniture is functional on every way you want. Every surface is

functional. My inspiration was the future. The houses will become higher

and smaller. This furniture can be enlarged or used as one block. (2013)

STONO PHONICNowadays people are constantly ‘online’ both inside and outside the office. The stimulation of senses in times of stress will trigger creativity and will ensure that employees are newly motivated. This sound playground gives the people this offline experience. The wellbeing ander creativity of the employees will be at best. (Second best, International Design Competition Cosentino, 2013)

‘T BARKONNETJEIf you are not in possession of a garden, a balcony is the perfect option for sitting outside in your own intimate surrounding.

Enjoying the sun and reading a book with a cup of coffee or a glas of limonade. On your balcony, lovely. Unfortunately the

average balcony is not big enough and a small table will already take a lot of space.

This little bar gives that piece of extra comfort and pleasure when enjoying time on your balcony. Just a little bit more space

for example some glasses, something sweet, a magazine or your mobile phone. (2014)

WOK BOWLNowadays we have less time and so we also spend less time on properly eating.

This wok bowl is meant for a small take away oriental place. The fact that you can

fold open the bowl into a proper plate will make you feel like you are eating a

lovely dinner at home. When you have to move along but you didn’t finished yet,;

just fold in back in and your doggy bag is ready! (2009)

INBATABLE SLEDGEWith the inbatable sledge you glide down the hill with a safe but wild experienced

feeling. The inflatable skeleton embodies you, which gives the feeling of a second

skin and a protection suit in one. (2014)

TRAVEL CLIPA sophisticated accesoiry for the KLM traveller.

When passing by the Customs, most people experience stress because of all the

stuff they carry with them. With this clip you can hold the most important stuff near

with you, which gives a more smooth welcome on the airport. (2013)

BEDA product for one special person only: Steffi Liem. This bed tells her story.

The rings give the feeling of embracement and warmth. Because of this structure the bed

is also able to rock a little bit. De icon on the pillow stands for her religion: protestant catholic. The religion is very important for her. (2011)

BARSTOOLBarstools most of the time are not

stackable. This can cause problems

for small cafes with reference to small

storage room, or inconvenience when

cleaning the floor. This stool is stackable

to five pieces high. (2012)

Page 12: portfolio vivienne van den dungen 2015 copy

STOOLThe stool has two ways to sit on: with the back against the backrest, or 90 degrees

turned with an armrest. (2010)

GEMEENTE HAARENBRIEFINGHow can we attract the citizens of municipality Haaren to the city center and offer them a nice place to be?

With a group of five people I worked on this project. We operated as ‘PEPDESIGN’. My part was creating a company profile, designing the concept, the analysis and the solutions. (2014)

CONCEPT

The problem why people don’t want to come to the city center is because it’s a grey centre and a bad infrastructure.

By opening up the city center, the municipality can offer an attractive place to be.

COMPANY PROFILEPEPDESIGN

We want to inspire people by creating a positive mindset!

SOLUTIONWe designed three different solutions:1) Short term solutions2) Medium term solutions3) Long Term solutions

&

Page 19: portfolio vivienne van den dungen 2015 copy

the Short term

With low cost you can already make big differences.

For example: stands to put on the city center square. They can be used as sales point, to sit on or to put plants in it. It creates a cosy feeling.

Page 20: portfolio vivienne van den dungen 2015 copy

the Medium term

For example: make use of the empty chappel and make it into a nice cafe and place to meet.

Page 21: portfolio vivienne van den dungen 2015 copy

the Long term

Change the infrastructure by removing uncoherent obstacles and rebuild the road in a more logical way.
