ENGLISH MATHEMATICS SCIENCE Topic: Oral practice Process: Pupils will do an oral recording into the iTalk app.
Topic: Angles Flipped Classroom: Resources on Angles, will be prepared. Main idea is for pupils to draw out the learning.
Topic: 3 states of matter Flipped Classroom: Pupils to view how atoms are structured in the 3 different states.
Product: Pupils will playback their recording and fine-tune their oral practice. Then they will do a peer review.
Product: Get them to play Angry Birds and strive to get the highest score. They can use their protractors to launch the birds.
Product: Creating a comic strip to explain to a younger audience what, where and how the 3 states of matter work.

One of the reason’s cited was because the students thought that with Apple TV and through Airplay, they were able to feature their work in progress. Thus they have the opportunity to ‘look into’ the thinking processes of other students at any time during the lesson and be motivated to do better.

The recording of themselves in the mock oral examination helped Adrian and Andre see a significant change in behaviour. Adrian reported that, ‘because last time I was shy, so I didn’t greet (the examiner). And then I just sat. ‘ Adrian continued by saying, ‘So my friend asked me to stand up, greet and then ask first (for permission to seat).’
