You and a friend are hiking on a trail in the Owyhee desert. Your friend is a considerable distance back. As you round a corner, you hear your friend yell in the distance. You turn around to say, “What?”. But when you turn around, you see your friend half-limping, half-running down the trail toward you. You run to your friend and hear him/her gasp out “Snake”. You look to see that your friend’s gastrocnemius is bleeding.
