Well the Annual Luncheon is the Big News, I think it was a Howling Success, don’t you?!!! Thanks to Janet Kretshmer’s hard work and all her committees and volunteers. I thoroughly enjoyed everything and am already looking forward to next year’s luncheon headed by Sandy DeAngelo! If she asks you to volunteer please take her up on it, you will learn a lot working with her. If everyone does their part it makes easy work for all, plus it makes money for the chapter! I love her theme and am looking forward to painting many ornaments for her idea for the Tree (Fall theme). This is my last message in the newsletter to you all, I have enjoyed helping Nadine finish out the year. It’s been an extremely busy year and am looking forward to taking a respite from responsibilities from numerous chapters that I belong to and just being a “painting member”! Time for a new group to step up to the palette and take charge! I know that Charlotte Raitt is up to the task as Incoming President and I will be there to help her in any way that I can, I hope that you will be, too. If she asks you to help, I hope you accept. If we all work together it will work to benefit us all. Thank you Karen Schaffert for all the help that you gave me in these past 6 months, you totally deserve the Service Award for 2014. All your reminders and “sage” advice that you gave me was invaluable. I don’t know what I would have done without you. Well gals, I have learned a lot working with all of you and got to know some of you and have made some very good friends as well. Thanks for working with me, I hope you have grown as much as I have. Well the Annual Luncheon is the Big News, I think it was a Howling Success, don’t you?!!! Thanks to Janet
Kretshmer’s hard work and all her committees and volunteers. I thoroughly enjoyed everything and am already looking
forward to next year’s luncheon headed by Sandy DeAngelo! If she asks you to volunteer please take her up on it, you
will learn a lot working with her. If everyone does their part it makes easy work for all, plus it makes money for the
chapter! I love her theme and am looking forward to painting many ornaments for her idea for the Tree (Fall theme).

April, August and October Member Seminar Reminder
Don’t forget to bring in a project that you would like to submit for voting at the November
meeting to be taught in 2015. Our members can submit a piece to be voted on to be taught
from 9am to 4pm during the months of April, August and October, 2015. These projects are
something that’s a little different, more difficult or just that you have learned something
different and want to share it with the group. Normally we pay our monthly teachers $100
but for these three months you are paid $200. So, think about it and if you have something in
mind bring it along to the November meeting and we will vote on 3 projects. You do need to
be available to teach all three months. I am anxious to see what you will come up with!

Regular painting supplies
Palette-Bleached Sand, Cad Red, Cad Yellow, Hauser Lt. Green, Lamp Black, Lt. French Blue, Mississippi
Mud, Warm White, Soft Black, Slate Grey, Santa Red, Plantation Pine, Olive Green, Napa Red, White, Grey
Sky, Fiery Red Hot Shots, Shimmering Silver and Glamour Dust Sparkle Paints to match ornaments if you
want to glitter them up.
Prep according to surface. Basecoat White. Tape off a border to the size you prefer. Basecoat border Grey
Sky. When dry apply 2 coats Shimmering Silver to the border.
When dry, lightly transfer basic pattern – no details.
Undercoat the red and green ornaments with Grey Sky.
Basecoat white ornaments with Bleached Sand, red ornaments with Santa Red, green ornaments with
Plantation Pine.
We will do the rest at meeting.
