Contingency plans:For my fashion spread photo-shoots I must provide relevant contingency plans for major factors within the procedure. The main contingency plans that I must have in place are contingency models and contingency locations. The use of contingency models allows me to have a backup option if one of the models that I am using cannot attend or backs out. And, contingency locations allow me to have another choice of location if the weather is bad. Additionally, I have contingency plans regarding equipment as I will take spare batteries for the camera.Contingency model: Oliver ParrContingency location: Walton gardens Legal issues:Copyright law:When taking the photographs for my Fashion spreads the content I produce must be original and if I break the copyright law I will be sued. If other people/companies want to use the work I have created (Fashion spread or photographs) they must pay a copyright fee. The law that companies in the UK must follow is the copyright, designs and patents act of 1988. The copyright law gives the creators and producers of some types of media products control over how they're used and distributed. In this case the content I create is not allowed to be identical to another photographers or designers work.

The law of Trespass:

The law of trespass states Trespassing on to somebody elses land without a lawful excuse is an offence itself and is one of the rare forms of tort claims in which a claimant can bring a claim without having to prove any damage has occurred to his land. However, it is not a criminal offence and so property owners must bring their claim to the civil courts. Meaning if I was to use a location in my fashion spread photo-shoot without full consent or permission I would be breaking the law of trespass and I could possibly be taken to court. However the law of trespass will not be an issue on any of the photographs for my fashion spread shoots as I am taking them all in a public park.

Obscene Publications Act:

The Obscenity of Publications Act 1959 states that it is an offence to publish, whether for gain or not, any content that will affect those who are likely look at the content you have produced. Meaning that the content that I produce on my fashion spreads must be appropriate and I should not include any obscene content on them which is irrelevant for the theme of the fashion spread or the target audience.

Trademarks:

Trademarks are used by companies so we cannot use their content e.g. logos, as trademarks are known for certain types of products. If I was to use another companys material I could possibly get sued as I would be using their product without the companys consent. To prevent this from happening I will make sure the model that I am using is wearing non branded clothing or at least that the logos are not visible on the clothing that they are wearing.

Equality Act:

The equality act 2010 states that it provides protection against any type of discrimination and promotes equality of opportunity for people who are disabled. This act means that I cannot produce content that may be of an offensive manner. These acts can vary from issues including issues religion, race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability and class. The discrimination act protects people from discrimination at work. If my content does not follow the rules of the act I could get prosecuted. For my fashion spreads I have to follow the rulings stated within the equality act as it states that I am not allowed to discriminate against people of any religion, race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability and class.

Ethical issues:

Representational issues:

Representational issues are broken down into nine different sectors varying from age, gender, social class, ability, disability, ethnicity, regional identity and sexuality. These factors are all important to the fashion spreads that I am creating because if I represent someone negatively it may cause people to not read the content I am creating. I believe the three main sectors of representation that apply to the work I am producing are ethnicity, disability and age.

Ethnicity:

On my fashion spread the model that I am using is white. In the future I will use people of different ethnicities to make sure my fashion spreads appeal to all audiences appropriately, and that all teenagers of any ethnicity will want to read the fashion spread I am creating.

Disability:

On my fashion spreads the model that I am using is able bodied but In the future I will use people of which have a disability to ensure the fashion spread that I am creating appeals to all audiences appropriately. However, when using people of a disabled state I must represent them appropriately so they are not offended or embarrassed.
