Explain how your planned activities will contribute to your development in the following areas.

Creativity (the arts and other experiences that involve creative thinking)

The Singing Lessons would definitely contribute to a creative thinking, considering that music is something that is constantly seen in different aspects, Also the importance of music lies on the participation of the individual (me) to improve itself psychologically as it is motivating.

Action (Physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle)

Attending to the Gym would improve my health as well as keeping my mentality in a more relaxed state.

Service (an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit)

I believe that in voluntary activities, will indeed, improve my knowledge in a wider range about my community. But also, would help me to have a sensation of fulfillment, as I would be helping people that need help, in this case the elderly.

Will any of the activities be new for you (one you have not done before)? If so, explain what challenges you might face.

- Basketball is a new activity I would participate in, within the school. Even though it's a new activity, I have played it before and I'm aware of the rules inside the game. However, I would still need to improve in my skills, as I haven’t participated in it in a long time.

- Within the singing lessons I have continuously been attending, I have started to study a new range of new activities I haven’t done before. In this case, it would be the ‘apply knowledge’ into ‘practice songs’. This is something new to me, hence imply that I would face a level of difficulty in applying what I know into new songs.

Do you foresee yourself being in a leadership role in any of the activities? If so, explain in what way.

I see myself as a leader in the CSP activity, considering I'm a year 13 student, meaning that I will be in charge of guiding the other members of my group including the year 12 students. The responsibility would lie on me to keep on top of deadlines and organization of events.

Commitment Organizing time to have a balanced life in learning as well as participating in the activities

listed previously, hence having a feeling of dedication.

PerseveranceHaving a firm decision in maintaining myself in

attending to the activities.Despite difficulty, I would continue to ‘walk forward’ and face new

challenges.

What new skills do you plan to acquire while undertaking each activity?

New Skills or Increased Expertise

Leadership skills, which would be acquired through the participation in the student council and the CSP.

Improving my physical health by going to the gym and skill level within basketball.

Have a wider knowledge about music, and learn how to apply what I know into singing.

Have more confidence while presenting, and applying more personal knowledge in every presentation.

Will you be involved in initiating or planning any aspect of these activities? If yes, explain in what way.

I will be responsible of the CSP group working with the elderly, as I’m a year 13 leader, which is

accountable of the members of the group and the activities that should be carried out in regards with the different managements teams, also known as the committees. Each of the committees should carry

out specific tasks which I will have to make sure the complete, as well as supporting them with any problem they face.

Will you be working in collaboration with others? If yes, please explain.

I will have to collaborate with many, if not all members of the CSP, as organization is the key of success. Therefore I would have to interact and contribute with the committees so specific activities

are carried out.

During this activity will you encounter any issues of global importance? PleaseExplain.

Within the planned activities, I will try my best to organize my time wisely to be able to improve my learning outcomes. In terms of encountering issues of global importance would be to affront reality, that the elderly people are facing a lot of problems and need help to overcome them. Therefore, this

could be considered as an issue/challenge, as I would try to address their problems.
